A great place full of grace and charm. The staff spoke excellent English, which in our case was crucial for understanding the menu when choosing some drinks. Salvio and Sofia showed courtesy, nice disposition and great service, which unfortunately we could not always feel in other places in Palermo. As demanding customers, we were curious about the history of the place itself and some of the specialties (what was perfectly explained by the staff), including the majestic drink served to the accompaniment of a smoking, mysterious chest. It was our first visit in Mak and even though we will be coming back home in a few days, we will definitely recommend this place and the people to all visitors to Palermo; To sum up, this is a place that will perfectly complete an evening in this wonderful city. Met some friends here for a drink. Wasn’t too impressed with the lack of air con inside and considering we did request an outside table, that request was initially ignored, even with 2 free tables. Half way through our drinks, the heat inside with No Air Con was unbearable and I asked (stating I can’t stay in here) another member of staff to move us outside, which they did! Much better outside where the decorate is very cool too! See pics both in and out. Prior to us meeting our friends, there was live music I was informed by my friends- she showed me her video of them & the saxophonist was very good! Shame we missed it!
