I was in the Memorial in April this year and it exceeded my expectations. I also bought a t-shirt to support the organization.
As to me -- the name -- No Mafia Memorial -- mostly refers to death, grief and tragic endings, and doesn't fully reflect what is inside.
Even though the exhibition is largely about death, grief and tragic endings, it's unquestionably much more about the bravery of those who fought the Mafia, believed in this fight, suffered for it and, in most cases, paid with their lives for it.
No Mafia -- Heroes' Memorial -- would work better ;)

Read moreMUST SEE IN PALERMO. First of all, it's free and bases on donations.
This museum if focusing on the history of the mafia in Sicili from it's beginning to it's rising point in the 80's.
The memorial is facsinating, showing how deep the mafia rotted the judiciary system, how violent were the fights between the law enforcement and the mafiosi.
Visiting there also support the struggle against the mafia, the memorial existence itself being an illustration of how the people wants to put this to an end. Plus, you can have a thought for all victims, especially those who actively fought against mafiosi that cost them their life.
Go visit the memorial, understand better about Sicili's struggles and most importantly, say...
