Padre Aldo — Restaurant in Palermo

I first came to this place by chance in 2008 and have returned each time I visit Palermo. It hasn't changed much. Tables on the street, huge quantities of fresh fish and seafood stacked on tables beside you and cooked on a grill in front of you (for probably around 100 people). I've never seen a menu. "Antipasti and grill"? Yes. "And white wine please". "Half a litre or a litre"? "One litre, please". What follows in due course is clams and mussels for the anitpasti, followed by grilled whole dorado, swordfish steaks, prawns and calimari. Our airbnb was right around the corner, and every night we were intrigued at how they set up tables and grill seafood. It turned out to be the best seafood we’ve had in Palermo during our visit.
