Regina pizza & Co — Restaurant in Palermo

AVOID!! After 2 weeks in Sicily this is the only restaurant I would strongly advise avoiding. I have never experienced a place so rude. An older gentleman sits next to the tables giving out to the 2 female waitresses and rushes people to finish and leave. He stares at anyone not Italian and only greets Italian customers. The food was greasy and overcooked, the grease from the buffalo burger ran off the side of the plate onto the table and the crust of the pizza my partner ordered was rock hard. I requested the bill at the end of our meal and it was literally dropped onto the table by a waitress passing . After I had paid my partner went to use the toilet before leaving and was stopped and told she was not allowed, it was only for customers and we had already paid. I have never experienced rudeness like this in any country....

We were reluctant to go here due to the rating but since it was early 6pm. We did not have many options but thankfully we found Regina!

The service was outstanding and the pizzas were exemplary. Mine did not have tomato sauce but had sausage, beet greens, and Mozzarela de Bufalo. My wife had mushrooms and eggplant on hers with tomato sauce.

We were blown away by the flavor. We have been in Sicily for almost a month and this is the first time I ate the whole pizza.

I'm going to review only the hamburger called "buffalina", don't expect to receive some big juicy hamburger meat.... In reality it's just a piece of meat inside the very small bread with tomato and grano cheese so .... Don't take the burger, it's not worth the price you pay
