We found Symposio41 by accident. Near to the centre but a place of calm. There is a passion for the food. Seasonal ingredients where possible. Simple execution of the cooking to produce well balanced meals. It is modern cooking that still presents the traditions of Palermo recipes. I don’t usually drink cocktails but I had to try the Negroni with the ‘fat wash’. It is worth asking for how it is made and even trying some others. We have been for lunch and dinners and enjoyed all the visits. We wish them well in their new enterprise.

Read moreWe dined here this evening and it was so wonderful. The service was lovely, there were two waiters, and they were both so attentive and kind. The local house red wine was delicious - it went perfectly with our meal. We had the gnocchi special (with a simple red marinara sauce and eggplant) and veal with a side salad and baked potato. It was all very simple but extremely yummy. The gnocchi was so fresh and soft and the veal was cooked to perfection! The atmosphere was also lovely, we sat outside and it was quiet yet vibey. Wish I could eat here again...
