Frank Focaccia — Restaurant in Parma

Frank Focaccia was unexpectedly heavenly as a great spot to grab a beer and a bite to eat while visiting Parma, the wild thing about them is how different their focaccia is from what you would normally expect of a focaccia! At Frank’s they are not afraid to go against the traditional single plank of thick bread with toppings; they offer amazing renditions where their focaccia is sometimes transformed into sandwiches, sometimes in the more traditional style; topped with meat, tomatoes, cheese, etc. No matter how you order it, their house made focaccia rounds; which remind me of an “English muffin” but with a much more delicate/crunchy/pillowy texture that I’ve never experienced anywhere else; will excite your tastebuds. The beer selection was great, though it seemed to be German beers mostly and I would have enjoyed more local beers. Service staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and (as tourists) we could speak enough Italian to figure out what we wanted to order and all the basic pleasantries. Highly...

The food is good but you have to be willing to put up with absolutely horrible service. It’s amazing how utterly rude the staff is which makes it impossible to even enjoy this place. I had been a fairly regular customer but now I will never give these people my money again, its clearly not good...
