Frank Focaccia was unexpectedly heavenly as a great spot to grab a beer and a bite to eat while visiting Parma, the wild thing about them is how different their focaccia is from what you would normally expect of a focaccia! At Frank’s they are not afraid to go against the traditional single plank of thick bread with toppings; they offer amazing renditions where their focaccia is sometimes transformed into sandwiches, sometimes in the more traditional style; topped with meat, tomatoes, cheese, etc. No matter how you order it, their house made focaccia rounds; which remind me of an “English muffin” but with a much more delicate/crunchy/pillowy texture that I’ve never experienced anywhere else; will excite your tastebuds. The beer selection was great, though it seemed to be German beers mostly and I would have enjoyed more local beers.
