Lovely discovery in the heart of the city center of Parma. It's worth a visit. A great restaurant where you can taste different flavors of Italian cuisine. On the menu you will find both Parmesan and other Mediterranean recipes. As a starter, I tried, and I recommend, the Cavallo Pesto which is a tartare of horse meat, typical in the area. Apparently people from Parma use to queu outside butchers to get raw horse meat on Saturdays. The first courses include nice pasta dishes. I tried the red gnocchi and they were really delicious. Second dishes are also Italian but didn't find anything elaborated worth trying. The list of desserts was fantastic. I tried the Millefoglie and was succulent. The restaurant has a huge selection of wines including special dessert wines. A starter, main course, glass of wine, water and dessert will cost you around 35 euros.

Patrick et moi choisissons de concert un tortino di patate con crema di Parmigiano [tourte aux pommes de terre à la crème de parmesan] et des verdure alla griglia. Pendant la préparation des mets, je croque du pain maison juste sorti du four que j’agrémente de beurre grâce à la bienveillance de Daniele. Nous nous régalons. Du chili pepper en poudre sur l’assiette donne une note épicée à la réalisation esthétique. Nous décidons de prendre un dessert. Patricio opte pour un cheesecake al frutto della passione e Amarena Fabbri [cheesecake aux fruits de la passion et cerise Amarena]. Je choisis un millefoglie con crema pasticcera e fragole [un millefeuille avec crème pâtissière et fraises]. Les douceurs sont divines. Après treize heures trente, le cœur léger, nous quittons le restaurant, cette caverne d’Ali Baba des saveurs, après avoir remercié vivement Daniele en le gratifiant d’un bon pourboire. Une adresse incontournable à Parma où il fait bon vivre des instants inoubliables...
