Wonderful restaurant. The food is very satiating and the staff are extremely patient and friendly. They walk me through every single item in the menu because I do not understand Italian. And the waiter/maybe owner also advised me to not ordering an extra pasta dish because it is too much food for me and she is absolutely right. Each single dish is flavorful with the chef’s own creative touch. I love them so much that I basically wiped clean the dish. The quinoa crust of the tuna gives it a very nutty flavor and a crunchy texture. The sauce makes it so flavorful. Ask note that the chef deliberately made small cuts on the surface of the tuna so that flavor could penetrate through the flesh, but the tuna itself will still holds its shape - just one of those details that make this restaurant outstanding. And the cod fish potato ball( kind of like croquettes) is enhanced by the tomato sauce. I would strongly recommend it to everyone who visits Pisa. This place has very high quality food, amazingly delicious and unpretentious, much cheaper than restaurants in Florence.

We ordered the calamari as a starter and 2 types of pasta as mains: carbonara spaghetti and papardelle with asparagus. We were pleasantly surprised by how tasty and fresh all dishes were, particularly the pasta- the sauces were well seasoned and full of flavor, and the pasta itself was delicious. Highly recommend this place and would definitely come back. The only reason I’m giving this a 4 instead of a 5 is because the venue is kind of dingy and has no atmosphere. We sat outside to get some fresh air and it was quite messy, with some of the outdoor space acting as storage. But if you don’t care about the ambiance then this place is definitely for you!

The first thing you can see in Osteria di Culegna Pisa is "superwomen" who give you place where you can eat. We ordered two times "Pappa al Pomodoro", "Testaroli al tartufo bianco", "Peposoalla chiantigiana con cipolla agrodolce", "Arista al forno con patate", "Croccette di baccala convellutata di zucca" and 4 times tiramisu. All of those dishes were excellent and made with love. The prize of one dish is 15 euros, which is affordable. Why? Becuase you are here, next to Pisa tower. Music is peaceful and you are feeling like you are at own home. Thank you on such joyfull time and good luck in the future!

I went to ask for a free table at this restaurant after a good recommendation from my hotel. The staff was too rude I speak perfectly Italian and I understood everything however the staff started almost screaming that they don't have table. I was trying to listen and the go but the staff never stoped to talk. I reply them that they should no be so rude. I asked in other places before about a free table and they really were kind and speaking nicely that they don't have free spots. Then I was writing the review outside of the restaurant and the girl came again to ask what was wrong in a bad manner. I read the other reviews and I am not the only one complaining about the rude staff. I suggest to avoid this place there is a super nice restaurant just in the corner with lovely staff Il mercato and more cleaner. Update, you can notice the rudeness of the staff by...

We walked in because of good reviews. At first we wanted to order drinks but old lady with glass probably owner she did not accept drink order. The menu was terribly hand writing but she explained so fast with strong Italian accent English. When I asked something, she was like why I can't understand it was so AGGRESSIVE and RUDE. We asked which one is "Pasta" with porcini? She especially corrected it's "Tagliatelle"... then we asked which one is with broccoli "Sauce"? She corrected again it's broccoli "Paste"... I said it doesn't matter it's same, she got offended and shouted "IT'S NOT SAME ITALY AHHHHH?"what's wrong with that lady?? How can we tourist understand menu perfectly??? We got upset and left restaurant. She chased and shouted to us "GO BACK TO YOUR COUNTRY!!". It was worst experience in Italy and that person is the worst Italian...
