F.A.C.T.S. review. Detailed review below. F(ood): just lovely. Nicely presented. If you want vegetables you need to order a sidedish. A(tmosphere): inside very small but charming. Terrace on a lovely little square where musicians occasionally come play. C(hildren): no kids menu or small portions mentioned. T(oilets): one toilet. Not given much attention. Could use some renovation. No baby changing table. Not accessible with a wheelchair. S(taff): we saw one waiter. He was introvert but polite and nice to the kids.
This is a nice little place on a square just off the main street. I tend to stay clear of places that show pictures of the food on a big menu board on the street and especially if I've seen exactly the same menu and font in 5 other places. This is no such place. The waiter is nice, took some time before we had our drinks but there was a guitarist playing nearby that was a pleasant distraction. The food was lovely. We had a boar stew, pasta with seafood, ribs and steak. Portions are large. Salad or vegetables have to be ordered as a side dish. The meat came with baked potatoes.
All in all a nice experience. Glad to have found this place!...
Read moreVery poor experience. Both the prawn and the octopus were dangerously undercooked. Undercooked is generous, it was raw. On the prawn the rawness was obvious (no curling, raw guts getting pulled out along with the tail, which was also slimy and undercooked, also fishy in the non-fresh manner). The table behind us also sent the prawn back for the same reason. Staff was unwilling to recognize the problem, and claimed this is how seafood is meant to be. We ended up leaving all the food on the table, had to pay for everything. Then ended up going to get pizza after spending 150 euros for 4 people. I think this place is too close to the tower, so it is the touristy rip-off...
Read moreFound this place last minute and walked in for the dinner. We (a family of 4 from Croatia) were served by Lorenzo who from the beginning had great service. Place is beautifully decorated, traditional with nice details. I had handmade ravioli with ragu which was amazing. Wine was great, homemade limoncello even better. Lorenzo was later accompanied by his colleague Luca and we had a great laugh and more liquor tasting. Lemon cake for the end was beautiful. All in all the place is 10/10 and they take great care about the service, food, decoration. The boss was also a very nice man. Don’t miss this place if u visit...
