We went here with some friends for a quick lunch. The method to order makes sense although I don't know how much more efficient that really is, as you essentially have to fill a card that you give to the waiter for your order. We got served relatively quickly and every dish was very good...except mine. They have a 'carbonara di mare' where they claim it's a carbonara with seafood lemon zest. My only proble with this is that I wasn't expecting it to be so cheesy. Too cheesy. What was the point of having sea food if the cheese was the only flavour I could feel? To add insult to injury the waiters started very quickly to take plates from my friends as soon as they finished, and then asked everyone if we wanted something else. We had got our plates maybe 20 minutes before, and I am being generous. All in all a nice place to go if you take any other plate (or like cheese a lot) and eat quick and go away. The place is not super big and you can feel a little crammed and it's a bit noisy but it's in line with the kind of business, and the decoration on the tables and around...
Read moreThe server convinced us to enter and we got carried away by the good reviews of this place. At first the waiter was attentive and quickly wrote down our order, however he completely forgot about us and it took him around an hour to tell us that they didn’t have the type of pasta that we wanted. Only after an hour and a half we had our food and the restaurant didn’t even apologize (it must be noted that it wasn’t crowded at all and that they gave us our food since we told them we were on a hurry). Regarding dessert, the experience went even worst. This is what happened: Me (talking to the waiter): I want the cheesecake but I heard a waiter saying that you ran out, is that right? Waiter: You want it or not? Me: Yes Waiter (1 min later): We don’t have cheesecake.
To sum up, the reviews are right regarding the flavor since the pasta was delicious, however this restaurant needs to improve their service because it’s not...
Read moreAffordable pasta place with a variety of pasta shapes, sauces, and sides. The place is vegetarian-friendly as well, so nobody will go hungry. The portion size is generous (you can choose from small, medium or large) for the price and the pasta was amazing! When we got there, the place was packed and it took a while to get a table. We got two pens to fill out what we wanted. Unfortunately, the pens both didn't work and the menu was only in Italian. I accidentally got walnuts on my pasta, because I do not know what that means in Italian. Not a problem for me, but what if someone is allergic? The staff was unfortunately not too friendly once they figured out we didn't speak Italian and we waited for a really long time to get the pasta. I will however say the food was well worth the wait and it could also be a sign that they are popular. We would go there again to try another sauce and next time bring...
