Pizza E Fichi — Restaurant in Polignano a Mare

The waitress giving service on her own was doing her best, but being on her own made this a difficult job. Our starter was good but took a long time to arrive for antipasti, however our pizzas were very poor. Like a burnt tortilla with some raw bits in it, we are sure this is not a regional thing having been traveling for some weeks. It fell apart by being burned in areas but was also doughy and raw in places - not good for a place with "pizza" in its name. We tried to explain our issues to staff but there was nobody to get the attention of. Service was slow, but again this was because only one member of staff was waiting tables. I have to say, wow - what an amazing place! Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had, thin crust with excellent local ingredients and unique combinations. To get menu 10 min. To order next 10. To get at least drinks another 10. And then another 40 minutes of watching every other table being surved except us. The staff was more keen to serve local guests. Pity, because we had great espectationes about this place. All about one pizza and plate of seasoned sousage...
