Ristorante Nobilnonna dal 1990 — Restaurant in Polignano a Mare

My friend and I entered the restaurant which had a very nice decor. We were then greeted by a waiter who could only serve us water and when we asked for house wine he said to read the wine list, thus they had no house wine. Nonetheless, we ordered a bottle of wine from the disinterested and inattentive waitstaff. We then had to ask for bread. The lead waiter appeared and we had asked him for the specials to which he responded none. When we made our selections, we were told that 1/2 of the menu was not available. When we changed our selection to Risotto, we were told that we both had to order Risotto but that they had to be the same dish. Upon struggling for our third choice, the food arrived, and the orecchiette pasta with pancetta/bacon that my friend ordered had one small cube of bacon. I ordered spaghetti with lobster and received a lot of spaghetti with 1 small prawn with claws but no meat and no means to crack the claws if there was meat. I then asked to speak with the manager who arrived and bristled at us. He kept insisting that we were his guests and that we should have treated him better. He made no offer to correct the problem but asked us to leave instead. He basically threw us out, showed us the door, slammed it in front of the other patrons. We were shocked...

Beautiful place with really interesting interior decoriation. Unfortunately the real pluses ends here. I've ordered pizza here and it tasted like a disappointment - lack of additions like fungi or even cheese.. Can be compared to cheapest pizzas you can order anywhere in the world. For a dessert I've ordered icy truffles which were a nice accent (in comparison to the previous meal) but nothing extra ordinary. The worst was the balding waiter behaviour: in general not involved and unkind. Probably he quickly grasped that our pack is from Poland so he categorized Us as "not very promising clients". Reading some comments here I can tell you that is definitely not reflecting what we experienced here. This place was very friendly and the staff was very prepared and engaged.

Andrea and Debora was very patient with us. Tommaso was extremely attentive, fun and very engaged on talking historic facts about the city, tips about where to go and a lot more.

This was one of the best nights we had here. The food, as someone already described here, was fresh, simple and delicious.

At the end we had a good conversation with the owner, Giuseppe, he was also very kind and friendly.
