Pizzeria Pompei — Restaurant in Pompei

We simply ran into the pizzeria to grab a quick bite at Pompei. You are rushed to your table and expected to order quickly (turning tables is huge here). I ordered the bufala mozzarella pizza and was served a limp pizza covered with rancid, watery bufala. Anyone who knows and loves cheese, knows that it should be mild and creamy. My son actually ordered the same pizza and his was perfect - clearly I had gotten the old cheese? In any event, I tried to return the pizza - it was inedible - and was then told I could not return it, that I didn't know what bufala mozzarella was, that I was mistaken. It was only when I pointed to my son's pizza that the server realized his error. It was obvious how bad my meal was as compared to the same pizza across the table. I waited for the table to finish eating and went to pay. They charged me for all pizzas - including mine. I declined payment for the one pizza and after much haggling (customers were noticing and asked what pizza I had ordered....), they conceded...

Very impolite. Below they respond we were rude and noisy, but actually we did not even eat in, or even use the wifi. We stayed a total of 5 minutes in. The restaurant was open, almost empty, we sat and realised there was no pasta served, so we said we will be leaving. Again, the restaurant was empty. They then proceeded to say that we should leave immediately (we were seating quietly at the table). Two of our friends had gone to the bathroom, so we were waiting for them to come back so we could leave. They then proceeded to rush us out and demanding pay for the use of the bathroom. We understand it is not ideal to seat down and leave, but we were siting quietly for less than 5 minutes. They just showed lack of basic customer understanding and general sensibility, respect and general intuition honestly. Instead of having been polite, they chose to be the rude for no gain. Very poor quality food. Staff seems passionless and it shows in the meals they dare to serve. The restaurant's decoration is tasteless, the menu is too long and even traditional Italian dishes like pasta alla carbonara or the Neapolitan pizza Margherita were failed and tasted like they were simply reheated from the day before. Even the bread was stale. By far the worst culinary experience of our trip to Napoli and its region.

I really don't know how so many people left good reviews....
