This place had decent food. They had a lot of good reviews so I was excited to check it out because I heard they had good pizza.

I was disappointed from the start. The server, she was very rude talking to us as if we had been there before. No smile aggressive and when asked simple questions like what is the serving size so we know how much to order we were told it can feed one person or everyone depending on how hungry we were. A simple answer was it’s good for one person or shared with another. It was very confusing and not helpful.

The pizza was pretty good tho. And the club sandwich looked good too. My fried pizza was just Fried dough and was practically empty with a few slices of raw ham.

As we were eating, the music was very American trash remix that was at a very loud volume, probably to attract the attention of others. Which it did bring people to the restaurant. But was not fun to enjoy a meal with family.

Overall my experience was bad but the pizza was good. Worth at least one try but I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it. The full restaurant might be better and different experience but the bar/grill...

Faced racism, which is rare for a tourist-friendly country like Italy. The lady who ushered us in, asked us to sit in a separate section stating the more colorful and vibrant part of the restaurant was reserved for diners who’ve pre-booked their tables. We bought that, however it turned out to be a facade. After we were seated, a bunch of people (whites?) entered in separate groups of 2-4. I could hear her ask each group for the number of diners and promptly led them to the inside section. None of them had “pre-booked” their tables which was evident as the question wasn’t even asked. We hurried with our meal (could have opted out seeing this racism, but we had ordered our food and didn’t want any negativity in a beautiful town, especially when with young kids). The food was average, however it was this extremely disheartening attitude of the lady which spoilt the experience. Avoid this restaurant if your skin colour gives...

Worst experience ever!!! Felt like a joke. Shortly after sitting at the table we ordered water. The waiter forgot and we had to order again after 15-20mins… They literally took 35mins to take our order. They just kept telling us “one moment please”… The appetizer came with one of the drinks. My glass of wine never arrived. We waited for another 20mins and the food never arrived. We had to complain and tell the waiter to cancel the order because if we didn’t leave the restaurant we would loose the bus. They insisted that the food was ready.. when we said that if the pizza was really ready we would take it to go, they say “no it is not ready, the cook lost your order. I am sorry”. They brought the check wrong and charged the wine we didn’t get… In conclusion: worst experience ever. And the saddest part is that the vegetables were good, but the service was so bad that I...

Great outdoor vibe and tasty food! The setting was beautiful, Italian jazz music playing with lemon trees and the hills over head. The Margherita pizza was delicious! It tasted very fresh and was cooked perfectly. The ravioli was equally enjoyed. The cherry tomatoes and burrata complemented this dish nicely. Complementary bread and balsamic/oil was a lovely addition! Our food was served pretty quickly, especially since we told them we had a boat to catch. The waiters seemed rushed since we went right when it opened but they were very kind to us. Lunch time (12pm) in mid-May wasn’t too hot, especially with the umbrellas for shade but I can see that it could get hot here with outdoor seating.

We had a great experience at Pizzeria Mele during our stay in Positano. The pizza was cooked in a traditional wood-fired oven and tasted absolutely delicious – truly one of the best we’ve had in Italy! We also enjoyed a glass of Limoncello, which paired perfectly with the meal. The atmosphere was cozy and full of local charm, making the evening very enjoyable. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but considering the quality and location, it’s still worth it. A lovely spot if you’re looking for authentic Italian pizza in Positano!
