We recently arrived in Positano and a friend recommended for us to eat at Pupettos. The entire restaurant was open, they were so rude, would not serve us so we walked into town. Capricci was packed and they had one table left and they sat us right away. Claudio was our waiter and even though it was his first day, he was so nice and professional and helped us get seated right away and helped us with our six-year-old daughter who was very tired from the train and boat to get to Positano. We skipped lunch so we were really hungry and I think we might’ve ordered almost everything on the menu because we were so hungry but honestly everything we tasted was incredible, we ordered a couple pizzas. They were both amazing the pistachio pizza and the margarita we finished both of them. Also, the pistachio crusted salmon was incredible. We are actually ordering it again tonight. The grilled prawns were amazing. My husband loved them since then we actually went there for lunch today and everything was also perfect again! The best thing about this restaurant is that not only are they super friendly and accommodating and not snobby. Also the kitchen is exposed and open, and they cook in front of you and you can see how clean the kitchen is and also, you have a nice breeze to the marina. Also the bathroom were super clean which also says a lot!!! Capricci is a special place and trust me, we are very picky and this has surpassed all of our expectations ❤️❤️❤️Also a great shout out to Claudio…thank you for going above and beyond and making our first day in Positano very comfortable...
Read moreWe ordered takeaway from here bc they offer a vegan panini and we wanted to eat on the train ride back to Rome. This place wins the prize for making the worst paninis we’ve ever eaten. Starting with the bread, which is hard, dry and flavorless, it not only requires serious jaw and teeth effort, you may have a hard time finding the rest of your panini’s guts once you get in there. You will need 3-4 bites before you strike something other than more dry bread. The grilled veggies are also bland (no salt, pepper, olive oil or balsamic). The tofu was not seasoned at all either. Vegans do appreciate flavor, too, you know? For what we got, the price was too high. We paid 30 euros for 3 day-old pieces of dry bread, some small cut up pieces of tofu right out of the packaging and the most flavorless, thinly cut grilled veggies that you can imagine. Despite being the only ones in the place ordering food, I was given a buzzer and waited nearly 10 minutes for the assembly of 3 panini. To top it all off, we ordered for takeaway and got our food packed in a lovely box and bag, but there were no napkins. I guess they must have known that since the panini were so dry we wouldn’t need any. My younger daughter, who is not vegan, had the caprese panini which was slightly better. But overall, we would not recommend this place for the panini or...
Read moreThey will Rob you for sure Food was ok service was ok. I’d avoid it unless you want to pay €3 each for a napkin you never asked for. Interesting you say it’s clearly marked in your response, as we never saw it anywhere at anytime also each dish was one euro more than the menu stated is that also us making rash comments, I review many places and state the facts as they are. I didn’t bring it up at the time as we had limited time off the boat, also you were incredibly busy and clearly the staff were struggling. Maybe the 3.6 stars and not being at the high end of 4.5 etc is a clear indication that something is wrong, if not the over charging then maybe something else, as I’m not a local my effects on your business are negligible, your effect on my review/experience of the place is everything. We not only wouldn’t come back but also pass on the experience to others we meet, I’ve only been to Italy twice but I have never seen this charge before could be my mistake or ignorance, I wouldn’t make the same mistake again, and also we sent the bread back as both of us do not eat it. Kind...
