We came to this restaurant at 10:00 p.m. We were seated immediately and asked if we wanted water which we said yes. Water service was immediate but then we waited a good 20 to 25 minutes for someone to come over to take our order. We ordered appetizers and entrees and the appetizers came in decent time but the entrees took a good 40 minutes to come after the appetizer. The whole restaurant cleared out and we were finally given our meal and people that came after us left before us and we were the last people to leave the restaurant because of how late the food came to our table. For appetizers we ordered the scallops which were four little scallops on a very large plate with smears of mayo and other sauces. It was extremely salty and not so great. We also ordered the shrimp tempura which was not really tempura but a thick batter that the shrimp was dipped in and fried. When you bite into the shrimp, the batter falls off the shrimp. Definitely not tempura. It was doused with some mayonnaise and avocado mixture. It tasted okay but the batter is not what was expected to be on the shrimp since it was supposed to be a tempura shrimp. It was a very long wait for our dinner entree We thought was nice to wait a little bit knowing that Italian dinner should take longer but this was excessively long since it was about 40 minutes. We didn't see our waiter come by for the whole 40 minutes with no water check or letting us know the status of our food. Our entree finally arrived and the Seared tuna was cold. The taste was decent. The red snapper was okay in flavor but seated under some bok choy on top of a glob of tomato paste. The piece of snapper was very small and just okay. The seafood pasta was decent although the large shrimp/prawn on it was not fresh. It was mushy in consistency. The taste of the pasta was good. Overall the restaurant rates a 4 out of 5. We did not order dessert because things took too long and we did not want to wait another 30 minutes. We also asked for the bar menu and never received it only to realize that our limoncello spritz was $22. Most limoncello spritz are well below $8. This restaurant needs to give better service for the price that they charge. We will be willing to pay the price of a nice restaurant if the service is also good but waiting 40 minutes for a meal and a waiter that never comes back to the table to ask us if we need more water is not acceptable.

I don’t post many reviews but am making an exception here. Sorry…its a long review. We went to the restaurant in the morning to check the view and find out about the tasting menu before reserving a table. We were told if we came early we could get a good table as it’s on a first come/first serve basis. We were also told to tell our waiter if we had any restrictions concerning the food. We got to the restaurant at 7pm and had the best table on the upper terrace which is reserved for guests ordering the tasting menu (140 euros per person without the wine pairing, 185 with wine). We explained to the manager and waiter what we didn’t want to eat and what we really like…although I wasn’t expecting them to follow through on all our requests…but they did! While waiting for the first of the 6 course meal (3 appetizers, fish, meat and dessert) I ate a few pieces of their delicious bread that’s made on-site. Mistake…because I never imagined the amount of food we would be receiving. The first appetizer was a big plate with a shrimp, a scampi and some lobster…all delicious! The second appetizer was another big plate with tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella cheese, a mini pizza and beef carpaccio…again, delicious. The third appetizer was a pasta dish with pasta filled with lobster meat…sublime! We were pretty full at that point but still had 3 courses to go. The fish dish was sea bass, cooked perfectly with wonderful sauces and vegetables to compliment the dish. Then, for the fifth course we received rack of lamb which was the most tender we’d ever had in any restaurant. The dessert was, of course, wonderful too! All through the meal we drank a superb bottle of Italian Barolo red wine and lots of San Pelligrino sparkling water to wash down the food. The service was impeccable from the pleasantness of the manager to the great attention of our waiter and sommelier! Without a doubt, this was one of our best meals and evenings ever…and we’ve had many great ones! The photos below show the dishes and wonderful view…please note that each dish was for one person only, so the six dishes shown were per person!

We googled to find the best restaurant in Positano and this one was amongst the top rated ones, unfortunately didnt hit the mark, I would say their chef either hasnt tasted his/her food or doesnt know how good flavoured food should taste. Zero seasoning and flavour in all dishes which is a shame as the ingredients are good and this isnt cheap restaurant . Fried prawns was served on a bed of avacado and loads o cream fresh which had absolutely no flavour and seems like they wanted a white element on the plate, tuna tartare on a bed of bitter aubergine with zero flavour or seasoning in both, potato gnocchi the same, overall all dishes could have tasted nice with adding flavours ( salt pepper garlic lemon etc ), add ponzu to tuna, salt pepper lemon zest etc to prawns ….. you live in land of flavours and amazing ingredients. Do it justice :( We canceled our main as we thought again it would bland with no flavour. Starter : fried prawn 4/10 , tuna tartare 4/10 , scallop with apple 6/10 Primo : mixed seafood linguine 7/10 , truffle pacheri 3/10 , tomato gnocchi 6/10 Main : canceled fillet steak and grilled sea bass , fried mixed sea food came ( actual seafood was very good 9/10 ) the sauce next to it 0/10 , again no flavour in sauce ,tasted like a cold out of jar pizza sauce Staff : 10/10 , even to takes some time to order and get the food ( but its italy 😁) Price : €225 without drink, with only one main and no desserts for 3 people Overall this place has potential , please add some tlc , its not fair to ingredients Will ai go again: NO Note , We heard staff asking people to add reviews to tripadvisor if they liked the food

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. We spent 200 euros here and that was still not enough to get their attention. We did not opt to spend 180 a person to sit on the fancy area where you could look out with the best view because you can do that at every other restaurant in Positano without racking up that high of a bill. We were still sat with a view by the ocean which was fine. First they give you a menu and bring over live lobsters and tell you how expensive they are. When you say no-don't expect much after that. They didn't give us a drink menu or wine list so I asked for it-they only have one wine book for the whole restaurant and they said the sommelier would come chat with us. This to me is annoying- give me your drink and wine list when I sit down so I can browse. Instead I'm handed a giant book and within 10 seconds recommended a 100 euro bottle of wine without any time to browse. Also the som didn't even ask any helpful questions for him to know what kind of wine we would like. Anyway I picked a 60 euro bottle that I loved an moved on. We had heard how good the seafood was here so my husband got the seafood platter-it was horrible. Calamari was rubbery and nothing was out of this world tasting. I got the sea bass which had zero seasoning and was very fishy and not fresh tasting. The potatoes that came with it also had no salt. The bread was the best part of the meal. We did not try dessert because everything else was disappointing.

To compare: the table next to us ordered 2 lobsters. They were attended to hand and foot to ask how everything was and checked in on constantly.

Overpriced and not even good to begin with. The view is also...
