The first part of our meal was excellent with some drinks and the meat/cheese tray. We ordered one alcoholic drink and one nonalcoholic. Great start but we should have stopped there! We looked at the Pinsa’s coming out so we decided to order one specifically, the Santa Margarita which had tomatoes, mozzarella, Parma ham, rocket and basil. Great combination. Now the scenario starts to go sideways! My wife orders another strawberry nonalcoholic drink, same as the first, and it comes out looking differently. She doesn’t drink at all so she tasted the alcohol straight away. We asked the server, who was argumentative that it had no alcohol as that’s what the ticket said. He argued back and forth and basically said that’s what you ordered. Now it gets better. When the Pinsa came it looked good so we started eating it, picking off the anchovies as we don’t eat them. Not knowing if we ordered the wrong pizza we muddled through a few pieces and then decided to leave. When my wife went to pay the bill, she checked the menu and we ordered the right Pinsa but they brought us the wrong one. She then argued with the server and the manager about it and they said why did you eat any of it if it was wrong. As we had no menu to refer to, we assumed we would get another argument from our server telling us that’s what we ordered. If it was wrong, why did he even bring it to the table. My wife didn’t want to make a scene so we paid and left. These businesses know that most of the clients they serve will most likely never be there again, as they are tourists, but that’s no excuse for treating every customer the same. My advice, stay away or go to one of the 20 or so restaurants in the area. I have no patience for restauranteurs or servers who want to argue with their customers. Spend your money...
Read moreA bit torn about this place.. The drinks were great and not expensive. The whole staff was really kind !
But the manager at the cash register made some borderline comments, asking my name and saying how beautiful I was, which made me uncomfortable. For some, it could be a nice compliment but I’m here to pay for my drinks, not to get a date. I found that unprofessional and not okay. Read the room and think about the unsolicited comments women hear everyday. If we want to flirt, we will let you know...
Read moreWe stopped by Drop in Rapallo and ordered a pizza — and honestly, it was the best pizza we’ve had so far in Italy! 🍕 The dough was just perfect: nicely thick, fluffy yet crisp, and absolutely delicious. We tried the tuna and anchovies pizza, and the flavors balanced beautifully. Everything tasted so fresh and well-prepared. Can only recommend this place if you’re in Rapallo and looking for amazing pizza in a cozy...
