As a coffee lover I could not go pass another Italian coffee shop without getting some latte macchiato 🙈 And I was absolutely impressed in the most positive way possible! Two friendly and sweet women let me take a place in the middle of the cafe (which was perfect and let me see everything in the best way). They gave me a good structured and understandable menu, full of delicious coffee, desserts and snacks options. I was sure about coffee but could make my decision about the cake, but this was not a problem because one of the waiters kindly recommended me an amazing chocolate cake with cream on top depending on my preferences (she asked me some questions). And I love love loved it! Amazing Italians studying and talking, happy music, and so uncommon decorations create a special atmosphere in this cafe. The Caffè Letterario is a nice place to stay and dwell. The offer for drinks, coffees and food is very good. You will find savoury and sweet food - as you like. We had several breakfasts there from porridge, to french toast (savoury and sweet), yoghurt bowls and tasted different coffees like espresso, matcha latte, cappuccino and juices (fresh pressed orange juice, juice mix). I can recommend this café - I would state: you'll find something nevertheless which is your taste. I am not easy to be pleased by food. We had a wonderful experience here! I have to follow a strict gluten-free diet and the waitress was apologetic for ‚only‘ being able to offer me a variety of five options when most of their menu is based on pastries. As anyone with dietary restrictions knows, this in combination with a high level of awareness around what gluten-free even means is above and beyond what most places offer.
