Bistrot del Mare — Restaurant in Rome

Heaven!!!!!!! If there is one thing in Fontane Bianche that is worth paying a visit to, is this Bistrot Del Mare. Fish is fresh, staff super polite, view to die for, and a safe heaven for anyone suffering from any allergy of intolerance! Chef Peppe is a true gentleman and an amazing professional, understanding up to the smallest details the implications, and indeed responsibilities, of a good restaurateur whose ambition is to make you eat (very) well and healthy! I am in tears while writing this review as i am moved on a personal level from the kindness and openness of ALL the staff here. Our child's allergy to peanuts was taken very seriously and we understood immediately to be in safe hands! Word up to people like them! Long life to businesses like these! Bistrot del Mare rocks! I visited this seafood place yesterday and while the food presentation was impressive, I was not quite as impressed with the flavor. I found the dishes to be a bit bland and lacking in seasoning or sauce. While the quality of the seafood was good, I was hoping for more flavor to really make the dishes stand out.

However, despite my disappointment with the food, I must say that the staff was fantastic. They were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure that I had a positive experience. In fact, I even left my wallet on the table and they quickly chased me down to return it to me. It's always great to see such honesty and integrity in a restaurant staff.

Overall, while the flavor of the food may not have been up to my expectations, I can't say enough about the great service I received from the staff. If you're looking for a place with excellent service and a nice ambiance, this seafood spot might be worth a visit. Best restaurant we went to in Italy!!! We ordered eight oysters and three dishes: seafood salad, fried seafood and seafood risotto. Oysters were pretty big and SO FRESH, best oyster I have had in years. The salad was very fresh but didn't stand out too much. However, the fried seafood was amazing!!! Calamari rings were fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, shrimps were also delicious. The risotto is a must-try too, the tomatoes tasted really good and there is a lot of seafood inside. Also, the waiter gave us a perfect white wine recommendation that elevated the experience.
