Cafe Vert — Restaurant in Rome

Lived in Rome in the months September-October 2024 in the Monteverde zone, and found Le Cafe Vert as I passed by it on my daily walks. Tried breakfast there my first time there, a cappuccino and a cornetto and it was amazing! Went back with many family members who also liked it a lot. The cafe is situated in a very local area, the prices are amazing for what you get and the service you get from the young man taking you order to the man and woman behind the counter is great! Would definitely recommend if you’re in Rome or in the Monteverde...

A local gem serving local and seasonal favorites. Friendly service, good food, and a selection of wines and beers.

My Rigatoni Amatriciana was as it should be, chewy rigatoni, a rich red sauce, crispy guanciale, and a dusting of sharp pecorino cheese. It was advertised as a half portion but was very generous.

As was the puntarelle and stracciatella soft cheese - bitter and sweet combined perfectly.

It's truly amazing what magic Italian Chefs can create with a few, fresh and seasonal...
