I used to come here years ago. Really nice atmosphere...but it wasn't mandatory to get something to eat in order to study, so I never ventured near the bar area.
I didn't really look at the reviews before coming here, because I already knew where the place was. So, when I arrived, I took my seat and nobody said anything. Then, when I got up to leave the owner told me her coworker said I HAD been told about the 5€ deposit thing, which isn't written anywhere but the online reviews btw, and had me get a muffin and 0.5L of tea for 6.5€. After I ate, I tried to talk about it and she told me I wasn't obliged to pay "this time" since I didn't know (you didn't tell me though?).
This + no visible menu and/or prices + no receipt = NOPE. It's reasonable that this place needs money to survive, but it's not my business...I do not think it was my bad for not checking the reviews doing the job in place of the owner, or any worker there.
I don't like it when people are dishonest and self righteous about it while putting on a façade, personally, but to each their own! So take what you will from my...
Read moreMy gf and I were looking for a place to wind down before the flight. So we were looking for a place where it will be quiet and cozy, where we can read, work a little and grab a snack or two. This place (is in my opinion an anti-cafe or time-cafe) is a hidden gem in Rome.
Not only does it give the amazing coziness, but is tourists friendly, provides with tasty coffee and snacks (some are vegan and vegetarian). It has a good Wi-Fi connection. Study or work, chilling and reading, having quiet place to wind down - all is here.
The staff is welcoming and hospitable.
The interior design is somewhat neutrally chaotic (in a good way) that gives you this loft-like feeling yet warming coziness. It has spacious halls and more isolated corners. Whatever you prefer you can find. Also it has a library vibe a little 😊
So, 3.9 stars it currently has is certainly underrated.
We added this place to our favorite places and this is going to be a place we will return when we are...
Read moreI’ve found my working place!!! 😎Gosh love this place so much. For those who’s been looking for a working/studying place where you can work calmly and having a nice space for discussion in group / online meeting in Rome (which quite hard to find) this could be your place too. It’s a bit off side from the center in Ostiense/pyramid area.
The place is spacious & the staffs are friendly.
How does it work? When you arrive tell them you are intend to work/study. Pay €5, this would be the min. credit for your food & drinks. You can take a coffe, then take chips, then something else.. only when you consume more then you have to pay the additional price for the food & drinks (which is fair).
Bonus: *sometimes they will have event at night so you will see stage complete with the music instruments. *they have various books in case you’re in the mood for reading *they have a complete bar for alcohol & non *they provide...
