Suresh Food & Drinks — Restaurant in Rome

Had a really bad experience at this restaurant today.

We were visiting the Borghese Gallery and decided to stop here for lunch, hoping for some good Indian food. When we arrived, the waitress told us to sit downstairs in a basement area that wasn’t air-conditioned—just a single table fan—and looked very basic and uncomfortable.

We politely asked if we could sit on the ground floor, which had air conditioning and plenty of visibly empty tables. They refused without giving a clear reason.

Feeling humiliated (and like this might have been intentional), we left. Out of curiosity, we called the restaurant right after to ask if they had a table available for the same time (around 12:30 pm). Unsurprisingly, they said yes.

So essentially, four hungry people who had just walked 15–20 minutes under the hot Roman sun were turned away for no apparent reason.

Really pathetic experience—would...

As a Sri Lankan, I am humbly very proud of Mr Suresh Anton. He has maintained a very good reputation and reliability among Italians for many years through his catering service (Catering Sri Lanka). Marking a new milestone in his long journey, he opened his own restaurant to expand the business. His specialty is kindness and high hospitality. In the same way the staff also accostomed to serve the guests very humbly and gently. More valuable than any of these is the specialty of the food here. (mouth watering when i recall the indian dish😋😋) The food is super delicious and offers his guests an artistic touch of his own (Suresh) with love&care❤️ I highly recommend this restaurant those who really willing to taste authentic Indian...

In awe of both the food and hospitality at Suresh’s. My husband walked 20 minutes in 100 degree weather to pick up a take away order. He was kindly greeted by Suresh and after he grabbed our food, Suresh gave him a ride home and sparred him a grueling walk back!!! Not only is Suresh a kind, generous person, but he is also a gifted and talented chef. His food was incredibly fresh, flavorful and authentic. We got the chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, paneer, samosas and naan bread. Everything was so delicious and not a bite was wasted. The chutney that came with our meal was the best I’ve ever had. I will long for this meal when we return home to the USA and will smile when I think of our awesome experience at Suresh’s...
