The last thing this place probably needs is another five-star review. Why then do I write one? Because they don't need it, but they deserve it. We were looking for a nice simple meal but trying to avoid the classical tourist traps with cheap cocktails, pizza's and waiters calling you in from the other side of the street. We chose this one solely for the name and the reviews. On arrival we saw a rather small restaurant, super cozy, where we were welcomed by the staff. On their recomandation we took the artisjocks for starters, together with some bread. It was delicious. The bread arriving as fresh as can be in a paper bag to keep it from getting dry. We took the carbonara with truffels and cannelloni with porcini. Had to fight to get the plates empty, but it was a battle worth fighting, some of the best pasta I ever had. Finished with a tiramisu, also a winner. During the entire meal we were treated super friendly, no rush,... For an entire 3 course meal that's almost impossible to finish, together with wine and water we were short for only around 100€, which is looking at both quality and quantity quite a bargain. I can only recommand this one. Try to arrive not to late, or you'll be waiting for a spot. And that's...

Had an amazing meal at Pasta e Vino Osteria in Rome! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening with great food.

Our waiter, Daniel, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. He had great recommendations and made sure everything was spot on.

We ordered the Amatriciana, Carbonara, and a Quattro Formaggi pizza—and wow, everything was delicious. The Amatriciana had the perfect balance of rich tomato sauce, guanciale, while the Carbonara was creamy, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor without being too heavy. The Quattro Formaggi pizza was a dream—cheesy, slightly crispy, and packed with rich, melty goodness.

Portions were just right, the ingredients tasted super fresh, and the prices were really reasonable for the quality. We left completely satisfied and already thinking about coming back.

If you’re in Rome and want authentic pasta and pizza in a great setting, Pasta e Vino is a must-visit—and if you get Daniel as your waiter, you’re in for a...

Off Day? Maybe we got here at the wrong time. We arrived at 11 am when they were switching from breakfast to lunch. They first gave us a breakfast menu, until we let them know we were there for lunch. There seemed to be a lot of commotion amongst the staff. We flagged a waiter down to order our food and a bottle of wine. The people at the table next to us, that came after we did, got their food and drinks as we still waited...with no wine. Finally received our food, but still no wine. We had to ask again for it. We would not have minded waiting at all for our food if we had our bottle of wine to pass the time. We ordered the pasta which was good and the bruschetta, which was okay. There were 3 different varieties of bruschetta and the one with the eggplant was not great, since the eggplant was not cooked enough. The other 2 were good. Maybe it was an off day. But I would recommend always serving...

This restaurant was literally next door to our hotel so it was the first place we went out to eat in. The pasta is freshly made (there's a small workstation at the front of the restaurant with at least one staff member making different food items in plain view), the food tasted good and their staff were super friendly, especially the older eccentric gentleman who I think was the manager (unfortunately I don't recall his name). Their price point is moderate and the restaurant itself has a calm, cosy ambience. Definitely worth a visit. One caveat - it seems pasta in Rome generally is made in such a way that it comes out a bit harder than in other countries, I understand this is common in that region. Definitely something to keep in mind as I struggled with adjusting to this.

Having looked at trip adviser reviews this came up well. Sadly my wifes pasta was too thick, cold by the time I had eaten my muscles and the clams in the dish were all closed and inedible. When feeding back the waiter said " let me go kill my chef" then brought us rock hard tiny biscuits on the house. My lamb shank was tasty, but the roast potatoes, weren't really roast & very soft. When the bill came we had been charged for an extra main course, apparently added to the wrong table. I think they saw british tourists and saw an opportunity. My husband paid before I checked the receipt and they refunded the extra meal in cash. High hopes were not delivered, we won't be returning.

Stopped by Pasta e vino Torre Argentina for our very first dinner in Rome, hard to say anything other than the fact that it was a fantastic experience. I ordered the Spaghettoni Carbonara & a Tiramisu for dessert. Both were out of this world. Before we received our food we were politely asked to move to another table as there had been a mix up with a booking, we were more than happy to do so and the staff were extremely kind offering us a complimentary shot once we finished our meal. Please do yourself a favour and try the carbonara here, it is one of the best I’ve ever had. Special thanks to Lorenzo for his kind service also.
