The last thing this place probably needs is another five-star review. Why then do I write one? Because they don't need it, but they deserve it. We were looking for a nice simple meal but trying to avoid the classical tourist traps with cheap cocktails, pizza's and waiters calling you in from the other side of the street. We chose this one solely for the name and the reviews. On arrival we saw a rather small restaurant, super cozy, where we were welcomed by the staff. On their recomandation we took the artisjocks for starters, together with some bread. It was delicious. The bread arriving as fresh as can be in a paper bag to keep it from getting dry. We took the carbonara with truffels and cannelloni with porcini. Had to fight to get the plates empty, but it was a battle worth fighting, some of the best pasta I ever had. Finished with a tiramisu, also a winner. During the entire meal we were treated super friendly, no rush,... For an entire 3 course meal that's almost impossible to finish, together with wine and water we were short for only around 100€, which is looking at both quality and quantity quite a bargain. I can only recommand this one. Try to arrive not to late, or you'll be waiting for a spot. And that's...
Read moreHad an amazing meal at Pasta e Vino Osteria in Rome! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening with great food.
Our waiter, Daniel, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. He had great recommendations and made sure everything was spot on.
We ordered the Amatriciana, Carbonara, and a Quattro Formaggi pizza—and wow, everything was delicious. The Amatriciana had the perfect balance of rich tomato sauce, guanciale, while the Carbonara was creamy, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor without being too heavy. The Quattro Formaggi pizza was a dream—cheesy, slightly crispy, and packed with rich, melty goodness.
Portions were just right, the ingredients tasted super fresh, and the prices were really reasonable for the quality. We left completely satisfied and already thinking about coming back.
If you’re in Rome and want authentic pasta and pizza in a great setting, Pasta e Vino is a must-visit—and if you get Daniel as your waiter, you’re in for a...
Read moreOff Day? Maybe we got here at the wrong time. We arrived at 11 am when they were switching from breakfast to lunch. They first gave us a breakfast menu, until we let them know we were there for lunch. There seemed to be a lot of commotion amongst the staff. We flagged a waiter down to order our food and a bottle of wine. The people at the table next to us, that came after we did, got their food and drinks as we still waited...with no wine. Finally received our food, but still no wine. We had to ask again for it. We would not have minded waiting at all for our food if we had our bottle of wine to pass the time. We ordered the pasta which was good and the bruschetta, which was okay. There were 3 different varieties of bruschetta and the one with the eggplant was not great, since the eggplant was not cooked enough. The other 2 were good. Maybe it was an off day. But I would recommend always serving...
