Gelateria Millennium — Restaurant in Rome

I'm really disappointed by my latest experience at Millennium. I have lived in the area for 6 years and been a regular here. However on my visit tonight, I ordered two piccoli and was subsequently told I could only have one flavour instead of two.

After questioning when this change came about, the man serving could not give me an answer. After pushing for an explanation, he then agreed to two flavours.

My husband went in half an hour later and received two flavours without a problem and noted that every other customer was also given two.

I'm not sure if it's because I am foreign or something else but this is...

On our first day in Italy, we wanted to get some gelato or ice cream and found good reviews within walking distance. Everything tasted good that we ordered, including pistachio, raspberry, and mango flavors were great. The staff was friendly and easy to communicate. Interior is great, and they have limited seating inside and a few tables outside. Located very closer to vatican city. Only weird thing we noticed that the staff was tasting the gelato with spoons, and they were washing the spoons and again retasted them. We stopped going after seeing that. Didn’t really love the setup where you have to place your order with the cashier, pay, and then repeat your entire order for 5 people to the people actually scooping the ice cream. Confusion about if gluten free cones cost extra or not. The line was a bit of a free for all. The gelato was ok but only sat on top of the cone, so once you finished whatever was on the rim of the cone, there was nothing in the cone itself. Portions seemed very small. Not many places to sit except in a non-affiliated park-like area to the left (if facing the entrance). Overall, not that great...
