La Rustichella — Restaurant in Rome

I was one of the tourists that was on a tour to Italy last month. The food served for a large group was truly sad. I mean I could forgive the tasteless pasta and the smelly fish, but the 'tiramisu' served in a plastic cup was the last straw for me. I mean this is not even tiramisu. How is this tiramisu? It looked like VOMIT. It was simply biscuit and yellow custard. Not even mascarpone! Is it cos we come from Malaysia, you saw us as dumb and didn't know our food?I wonder if you serve your walk-in customers like this too. Or is it because everything was pre-booked than you thought it was okay to serve dessert in plastic cups?

Pls don't go to this restaurant ever. They don't care for their customers! Everything good I thought of Italy was diminished by this horrible...

Our accidental find of La Rustichella Restorante must have been fate. Tonight our waiter, Gregorio and the chef/owner Giuseppe took us through a culinary journey of the best cuisine of Roma. We put our palates in Gregorio and Giuseppe's very experienced hands. He started us off with fiore di zucca dipped in batter, followed by his famous award winning bucatini amatriciana and spaghetti carbonara. A secondi piatti of assorted grilled meats, pork, lamb and beef with sautéd chicory. A chickpea salad and seafood risotto. They ended our delicious dinner with espresso and Crostata di frutta. This little hidden gem is located right behind the Vatican City wall. The food was amazing! Best we've had all week. The service was great, they spoke English which was very nice of them because they don't have to. I would go back there in a heart beat! Prices were good too. I read some reviews from people that were not satisfied and honestly I could not understand where the negativity came from. Seriously. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed!
