Chipotle like food but three steps down. I'm from the south and this is far from Tex Mex. Service and staff was horrible. No gretting, Ciao, bienvenito, nada. We asked where to start and no one spoke to us. We were excited to try this place, but were definitely let down by the lack of flavor. The chicken tasted as though it was from a can with low quality salsa poured on it. Guacamole, runny and flavorless. The veal had a decent sabor but no seasoning to resemble a Tex Mex flair. The nacho chips were stale and the queso from a can not resemble cheese. The chili con carne was sub par and also lacking in seasoning.
The worst of it was there were three people working and we stood there for over 10 minutes, only four of us orderibg. We were the only people in line. They were not concerned and attentitive to expedite our order and deliver service. There was no explanation or assistance. Just a bunch of "low talker" kids. I would not call this Tex Mex, sorry owner.
If you want good "tex mex" go to Pico's they actually cook beef and marinated chicken breast in a visable kitchen. Who knows how long that canned stuff at Maybu has been sitting there...it...
Read moreI love it. Super tasty and quick. Loads of options. Very good non Italian food! Which is always welcome if you like variety!
Edit Wednesday 16:20 15/06/22 Sadly the place seems to have dipped somewhat. Prices I think have increased, burrito 9 up from 8€. Water 1,50 up from 1€. Owner can correct me on that if I’m wrong. I can kind of understand prices going up due to inflation etc but what is disappointing is the portions aren’t as generous as before. Bear in mind I’ve been here over 20 times so I know what to expect. I asked for the beef and got two heaped spoons of rice and not even a full one of beef. And the one I got was full of liquid as the server didn’t mix it before serving it. The first two tables I came across to sit down were dirty and hadn’t been wiped down. The girl serving was not very welcoming to be honest. All very disappointing as had been day dreaming about the...
Read moreWent here based on reviews, yes I’m American :) a needed my Mexican food fix. Very similar to chipotle or Moes from the States. Clean, nice environment.
quality, service, & price were great but the flavor was SERIOUSLY lacking. Even with the spicy items and especially with the chips for the nachos. I saw her open a fresh bag of chips and they still tasted stale. Missing a few key Mexican ingredients: CILANTRO!!! being a huge one as well as a bit of chili powder and fresh onion. Everything just very bland. Don’t be afraid to make your food taste good!!
Margaritas were very good and only 5€!!
Would not come back, unfortunately as I need some flavor most...
