As a tourist exploring the enchanting streets of Rome, I had the pleasure of dining at Geovanni Di Valentino, a gem that truly captures the essence of Italian cuisine. Nestled in the heart of Rome, this restaurant offers an experience that is as authentic as it is delightful.

The ambiance of Geovanni Di Valentino is a harmonious blend of traditional charm and modern elegance. From the moment I entered, I was greeted with warm, inviting smiles that made me feel like a part of the family. The decor, with its rustic touches and soft lighting, set the perfect stage for an unforgettable meal.

The menu, a treasure trove of Italian classics, left me spoilt for choice. I opted for the signature dish, "Risotto al Tartufo," which was an absolute revelation. The risotto was perfectly cooked, creamy, and richly flavored with the earthy tones of truffles. It was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had.

Another highlight was the "Saltimbocca alla Romana." The veal was tender, and the sage and prosciutto harmonized beautifully, creating a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate. Accompanied by a glass of robust local wine, recommended by the knowledgeable staff, the meal was a culinary journey in itself.

What truly set Geovanni Di Valentino apart was the impeccable service. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, offering insights into the dishes and sharing stories that enriched the dining experience. Their passion for food and hospitality was evident in every interaction.

To conclude the meal, I indulged in a classic Tiramisu. It was a sweet symphony of flavors that provided a fitting end to a spectacular dining experience.

In summary, Geovanni Di Valentino is not just a restaurant; it's a celebration of Italian culinary artistry. For anyone visiting Rome, this restaurant is a must-visit. It's not just about the food; it's about the warmth, the culture, and the unforgettable experience that stays with you long after you've...

Went for a quick meal before my flight, ordered pasta arrabbiata with burrata on a friend's recommendation of the dish. The waiter made a lot of confusion about the burrata and substituted regular mozzarella. Received small mozzarella with two tomato slices and a bottled water. The bill was 18: pasta for 10, water for 2, and mozzarella salad for 6. Was confused and annoyed by the waiter's rude explanation of the bill. First he said it was a burrata and that's expensive cheese. Which obviously wasn't true and we even talked about that before the meal. And after I said a mozarella like this would cost 2.- max in a store, he said "we are not a store". Which I understand, but a mozarella that probably cost like 50 cents or less for the restaurant! What a joke. A Salad like that would've probably cost less in switzerland. Food was ok but nothing special, interior is nice. The Service in general wasn't good. Maybe because I was alone, but he made jokes with everyone but basically ignored me. I didn't like it. Also he lied to other costumers about speaking English. Obviously he doesn't if he doesn't even understand that I want a burrata on top of my Pasta. This Restaurant isn't as bad for everyone definetly tho, but it was a horrible experience for the last meal I had in rome.

This is my first written review ever. It was the worst eating experience in my 7 day rome trip. I wouldn't have given a review if it wasn't such a bad experience. I sadly didn't take fotos but from the interier wich was...

My husband and I just had the most wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was outstanding! I enjoyed and fettuccini bolognese and my husband had the spaghetti carbonara. We also shared the chicken parmigiana because come to find out, pasta is traditionally the 1st course here in Italy and you should always move onto a 2nd course! And we quite enjoyed not one, but two limoncello spritz’s each!

But, the wait staff and owner really made the experience as grand as it was. Wow! Our waiter was fluent in English, however the owner…not as much. But his musical talent and singing? Just takes the cake! We loved every second in this restaurant and WILL be returning next week for our final day before flying home to the U.S. This restaurant is an absolute must! Highly, highly recommend! You will not be...

It is truly an authentic Italian restaurant. I was lucky to stumble upon Trattoria Giovanni when I went to Rome in March. The owners were great; very warm, hospital, funny, and welcoming. I went there all three nights in a row when I was in Rome. If I ever go back to Rome, I'll make sure to stop at this restaurant. It was one of my biggest highlights of my entire trip to Italy eating at this restaurant. It was very affordable too. These guys treat their guests right, make great food, and know how to pour a great glass of wine. If you're lucky, the shorter guy will start playing his guitar and singing in Italian with all of the locals eating, which will be one of the best highlights from your trip. If you're in Rome, you're crazy if you skip on dining at this place.
