Let's start with something helpful for tourists - there is an English menu inside and all the staff speak English too! My husband and I ordered the peppered mussels as an appetizer, and a Margherita pizza and Spaghettoni with clams and porcini Mushrooms as our mains. Normally I'm a little hesitant about mussels, but this time the mussels had zero mushiness, they were soft with a slight chew and so so delicious. We were basically inhaling the dish. The pizzas are made in a wood burning oven which you can see at the front of the restaurant. There's a toasted crust with a soft interior making it delightful. For the Spaghettoni, well I'd never had it before, but the texture grew on me as I continued to eat. At first I thought it's a little undercooked, but it's nice with a little bite especially with soft foods like clams and big slices of Mushrooms. This one was a winner. No icky seafoody taste - you could taste the freshness of the ingredients instead! On top of it all, the prices are very reasonable. With drinks, we were...
Read moreWe chose this restaurant thanks to its reviews, but I have to say that after today's dinner, it was a disappointment. Besides water, coke and sprite they don't have any non-alcoholic beverage, such as juice or anything for those who don't or can't drink alcohol or sparkling beverages- means just to drink water (from tap..). But OK, this wouldn't be the biggest problem. As a first course we have ordered risotto which was good but really greasy that after eating it a lake of oil remained on my plate. As a second, I ordered sliced grilled beef (nobody really asked how much should it be done..) with a side dish of artichoke..Well I' ve had artichokes many times in my life, but never uncooked or anyhow processed as it was done in this case..For someone, who has worse teeth wouldn't be suitable to chew it. In the end, disappointment. My mate had mediteranean salad, which eas OK, but this fact cannot save the general view of not a high...
Read moreWe stayed at an apartment close to this restaurant. We thought this would be a good choice for our first meal in Italy. The 5 of us got pizzas - two pizzas with tomato sauce, and 3 white pizzas with mushrooms. While the two pizzas with red sauce were good, especially the one with prosciutto - they were not as good as some of the best pizza we have had in Boston and New York City. And moving on to the white pizzas - yuck!. They had no seasoning and thus: no flavor, the cheese did not taste high quality. The crust was the only redeeming quality, but even that couldn't save them from being wack. We sat outside, and the atmosphere was nice. The water and beer were ice cold. The service was good. They are also fairly priced, although I wouldn't recommend paying anything for the...
