Osteria Dei Colli Emiliani — Restaurant in Rome

We ate here on two out of three nights staying in the area. There are tables inside and out on the pavement. We were offered an English menu but managed with the Italian and a translator app. On the first visit the antipasto of the house arrived quickly, a selection of grilled vegetables topped with breadcrumbs, we shared a portion along with some very good bread. I then had rabbit and my husband a meat skewer, both came with potatoes. Both dishes were delicious. We shared a contorni of green beans, cold and disappointing. However the bread and coffee were also good. Our main issue was that the menu states a litre of wine for 8 euros, an old 75 cl bottle arrived with the house wine inside. We were still charged 8 euros. Other than that it was a good experience. The bill was a reasonable 44.50 euros. On our second visit we ordered two half litres of wine 😉. We shared a pasta Amatriciano which was excellent. Having loved the rabbit, I ordered it again but this time it was off the bone and not quite so good. Rooster and rabbit with potatoes was enjoyed along with a cold melanzane contorni. Highly recommend...

This cosy little restaurant may not have fancy decor but it offers fantastic tasting food. Also bread is free and no service charge magically appears in the bill like so many other Rome restaurants. Fettuccine with mushroom and Ravioli were both fantastic, served steaming hot. The scaloppine sauce was so tasty, and the potato was cooked so perfectly, sadly now no other restaurants I tried came close. I would totally return if I had more days in Rome, especially with a lower price point...

Un gioiello di posto. Adoro questo ristorante che frequento da anni per infiniti motivi: è un posto incredibilmente autentico è a conduzione familiare genuina la cucina è deliziosa e tipica della tradizione italiana i piatti sono semplici e sembrano cotti in casa da una nonna brava a cucinare hanno in menù cose che non si trovano spesso in altri posti (il fegato, il coniglio, il pollo ruspante fatto al pollo con i peperoni, la trippa -da urlo- , varie minestre di verdure e legumi, pasta e ceci etc etc etc) la loro cucina è SANA e incontra in pieno la vera dieta mediterranea (quella che oggi non seguiamo più e che ci invidiano in mezzo mondo): anche se uno mangiasse lì tutte le sere non si appesantirebbe i proprietari sono iper gentili, simpatici e zero invadenti lo staff della cucina è sorridente e gentile e tramite la cucina a vista li si può vedere lavorare ci si possono anche far spiegare le ricette (grazie cuoco Piero! 😜) il servizio è ottimo e rapido c’è spesso posto e il locale è frequentato da gente easy, simpatica e varia gli arredi sono originali degli anni 70, credo, e per chi ama questa preservazione del passato, questo è una goduria i prezzi sono onestissimi i bagni sono sempre puliti Serve...
