We had a lovely evening overall – the location was charming, our fellow participants were absolutely wonderful, and the concept of the class made for a fun and social night. The instructor was kind and clearly passionate, though his English was at times difficult to understand, which made some explanations a bit hard to follow.

That being said, unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with how the food was portioned and served – something that really affected our experience. While we understand that part of the charm of such a class is learning how to plate and serve pasta, the way it was handled led to major inconsistencies in portion sizes.

Some guests ended up with very generous (not to say huge) servings, while others – ourselves included – received almost laughably small portions. In both courses, we were the ones left with what felt like child-sized plates. There was no effort made to balance this out. After a long day of sightseeing, we sadly had to go out for pizza afterwards, as we simply weren’t full.

This isn’t about nitpicking or counting every noodle – we totally understand that this is a casual, interactive event. But when you pay for a full dinner experience, it’s reasonable to expect that everyone leaves feeling satisfied, not hungry. Especially when the imbalance was so striking and repeated twice in a row for us and no one even noticed.

Additionally, while drinks were offered at the start of each course, it would have been nice to receive a check-in from the staff during the meal.

To be clear: we really liked the idea and energy of the evening. But we would suggest putting a bit more attention into fairness when serving food and offering a more attentive hosting approach, so everyone walks away as happy...

Our experience with Chef Simone was hands-down one of the most memorable and meaningful parts of our trip to Rome. It began with a food market tour at Campo de’ Fiori, where Simone’s deep connections with local vendors and his infectious enthusiasm brought the market to life. He introduced us to the freshest ingredients, shared stories behind Roman culinary traditions, and helped us select everything we’d use in our cooking class.

Back in the kitchen, Simone guided us through preparing a feast that we’ll never forget. We started with delicate zucchini blossoms, perfectly stuffed and lightly fried to golden perfection. Then came the handmade pasta—kneading, rolling, shaping—it was all hands-on and deeply satisfying. The eggplant parmesan we created was rich, comforting, and bursting with flavor, while the valerian salad was a fresh, bright complement to the meal. Every single dish was beautifully balanced and unbelievably delicious—truly the best food we had in Rome.

Chef Simone is not only a master in the kitchen, but also a warm and generous host who makes you feel like family. His class is more than a cooking lesson—it’s a celebration of Roman culture, cuisine, and connection. If you’re looking for an unforgettable, authentic culinary experience in...

Indulging in a cooking pasta class in Italy was an absolute culinary revelation. From the moment I stepped into the charming kitchen, the aromas of fresh herbs and simmering sauces whisked me away to a gastronomic paradise. Under the expert guidance of our passionate chef, I learned the artistry of crafting perfect pasta dough from scratch, each knead and roll infused with tradition and technique passed down through generations. The hands-on experience of shaping delicate ravioli, twisting tender tagliatelle, and mastering the art of al dente texture was both educational and exhilarating. With every bite of the exquisite dishes we prepared, I tasted the essence of Italy's rich culinary heritage, each ingredient singing with vibrant flavors and unparalleled freshness. Beyond the culinary skills gained, the class fostered a sense of community as we shared stories and laughter over our delicious creations, forging memories to cherish for a lifetime. Undoubtedly, this cooking pasta class was a highlight of my Italian sojourn, an experience that not only satisfied my palate but also nourished my soul with the warmth and generosity of Italian hospitality. David and the rest of of the instructors completely make you...
