AVOID AT ALL COSTS ‼️
This is the first restaurant my partner and I have ever had to actually leave halfway through our meal.
We were greeted by general unfriendly servers, but what was to come was much worse. I immediately noticed a stale, musty, fishy smell all throughout the restaurant but brushed it off as I knew this restaurant had amazing reviews. We were given plates for our bread (which was stale) and mine had physical dirt and marks all over it. Clearly had not been washed. I had to ask for a new one, this immediately started things off on the wrong foot.
We ordered some drinks, a seafood bruschetta (from the “chef’s recommendations” which were all overpriced frozen seafood) to start, and lasagna and amatriciana for mains.
Drinks were fine. The seafood bruschetta came out and it was simply inedible. Bread was stale and the seafood mix was somewhere between lukewarm and cold. I tasted it and genuinely had to spit it back out. It was chewy, sour and rancid - inedible. I was worried if I ate any of it there would be a potential for food poisoning, that’s how terrible it was. We had known ordering that the seafood was cooked from frozen, we just didn’t expect it to be rancid and inedible. We decided we cannot continue our meal at this restaurant due to this terrible experience.
A waiter came out with the lasagna without even seeing if we were done with the starter. We had to stop him and ask to speak to a manager as we were absolutely appalled with this service. A few waiters came down to ask what the problem is. We explained clearly what our issues were and that we could not continue with this meal. We didn’t want to cause a scene on their behalf but they didn’t make it easy with three waiters coming down asking us questions.
They seemed indifferent, barely muttering an apology and angrily taking away our plates. They did not explain if they would charge us or even give us a proper apology about what happened - just left us there. It made my partner and I feel so uncomfortable, further adding to this terrible experience.
We eventually got up and said we would pay for the drinks (which they happily charged us for, no more apology / reimbursement for our terrible experience).
As we were paying, the waiter said that we must not know what seafood bruschetta is actually like and how it should be served. We found this an appalling insult, especially since we come from a seafood town. He assured us that it was “fresh” seafood. This is a blatant lie as it clearly says on the menu it is cooked from frozen. We did not mind the fact that it was cooked from frozen, but the appalling part is being insulted about our knowledge of seafood and being told a bare faced lie.
All of the staff were extremely rude to us once we brought up all of these issues, not one bit apologetic, leading me to believe this is a common occurrence and that they do not care for their customers in any way, shape or form. Based on our experience alone, I can only assume that their high rated reviews are probably fake.
I have included a picture of the disgusting seafood bruschetta, not alone does it look unappetising, it was genuinely inedible too.
This was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my life. Please do not support...
Read moreI came with my daughter inside sat in a big room with TV. There were 2 tables taken. Waiters were brining food and did not know what table it was for. There was huge confusion. The ladies at the table were getting angry. I made an order. The waiters after sometime started bringing food I did not order. The ladies at the table said they dis not order salad, the waiters started to investigate and then to explain that it was right salad. The lady said ok, tried it and then Said she disliked it. To pumper her, they brought them tiramisu for free. All this commotion was while we were eating. I forgot to mention that there were way too many waiters and way little result from them. My lasagna was really good, the salad was mediocre, the pizza was dry. I got the bill and went in front to pay. There I was met by owners and the lady asked me for a tip for the waiters 🤣. She was pointing at this wood box where it said tip. She was very very very persistent! What in the world? Tips in Italy? Especially for the service I got? Lady, don’t stay infront! Stay where your employees are. Pay them as you wish, I will gladly tip the...

We he originally gone to the location by the Colosseum two days ago, and when we went today, the line was about 50 people deep. We were recommended again the location at Piazza and decided to take the risk.
IT WAS WORTH IT!!! We were literally greeted by Alessandro the owner outside by the Street corner. He suggested food, gave us options of outside or inside. Some tables even have a piazza navona view.
Food wise: I hate eggplant and the eggplant Parmesan was literally the meal I had and it blew me away. The cheese platter was delicious and the focaccia was soft/cripy/savory. Just so good. The Moscato in the picture was so delightfully good. They also have multiple bathrooms down a set of stairs. Clean modern updated baths.
If anyone is hesitant to walk the 17 minutes from one location to another, so they don’t have to be in the really long line at the other location, don’t hesitate. This one is just...
