La Mosca Matta — Restaurant in Rome

My partner and I visited Rome for the first time. We are well travelled and love food. We found some places not very friendly and staff rude. It was such a nice surprise when we asked in La Mosca Matta. Very warm welcome and friendly staff. The food was great both of the nights we went there. Pizzas and pasta are freshly cooked, the starter was amazing, and the dessert is fantastic(please see the pictures). This was truly an incredible little restaurant! Off the beaten path but around the corner from our airbnb, our hostess recommended this place. We went for a much needed lunch after traveling and arriving into the bustling city. We had two waiters who spoke very little English but were all smiles. They gave us a complimentary appetizer while we waited for our order, and after we finished our lunch, they gave us water bottles with plastic cups to go!! After stopping here, we were pleasantly waited on by Hakeem, who was a great server. All of the servers were very friendly. For 5 of us getting an entrée, 3 getting a dessert, and a bottle of wine for the table, it was 100€ (including the 10€ fee for silverware). The house wine was great.
