Tonight I dined at a quaint bistro that truly encapsulated the charm of an idyllic evening out. First time and night in Rome. As soon as I stepped inside, I was welcomed by warm and inviting staff. The atmosphere felt just right for a relaxed night of solo dining. The lighting and tasteful decor set the mood perfectly—creating a blend of coziness and sophistication.

The staff stood out as exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout my visit. They seemed genuinely invested in making sure every guest felt special, striking that perfect balance of being present without being intrusive. Their recommendations were spot on, which only added to the overall enjoyable experience.

To drink, I ordered the Aperol Spritz, and let me tell you, it was absolutely perfect for a warm evening! The refreshing combination of bitter and sweet, beautifully balanced, was an ideal start to the night, and I found myself lingering over it far longer than I intended.

Now, onto the food—my dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. It felt like everything on the table complemented one another seamlessly, bringing the whole experience together beautifully. From the first bite to the last, it was like a delightful symphony for the taste buds.

Overall, this bistro made for a truly pleasant evening. Whether it was the stunning ambiance, the attentive staff, the refreshing drinks, or the unforgettable meal, every detail was meticulously curated for an enjoyable night. I can't...

Don’t bother and save your money! Trust the average review rating and don’t waste a day of your holiday.

It was overpriced food that was very average paired with awful service… the atmosphere outside is deceiving.

We got the Ravioli, a Burger & four croquettes with some drinks.

The burger itself was nothing special, especially for its price, while the crisps that came with it were burnt and flavourless and weren’t eaten. The pasta/croquettes were fine but well overpriced for their portions.

We’re never the kind to complain or kick up a stink, so we didn’t say anything and we’re polite once finished.

However, the foods one thing but then when we had asked for the bill, they gave it to us with no remorse or care (dumped it on the table like a drive by) and disappeared. After trying to get their attention for quite a while, they brushed past our table and told us that you pay inside (would’ve been good to inform us when dropping the bill, if they weren’t trying to be so careless?)

Once inside we went to pay with card, to which they said they could only do cash only (once again - could mention this earlier…)

We had to leave to go fetch cash at a random dodgy atm down the road, and also pay an absorbent withdrawal fee (which doubles in our currency).

There was little care that we had to go did this, or any apologies. Good service would’ve atleast apologised for the inconvenience at least.

Really poor way to end our final...

I’m not usually one to leave reviews, especially bad ones, but the experience my mother and I had at this place was so horrific I can’t help but share it.

Like many others we we lured into the place by its cute looking terrace in a central location but were then disappointed by the mediocre food and bad service. However, the truly horrifying experience only took place when the bill came. My mother and I only had one dish and one drink each and it was quite clear that the bill (handwritten btw) that was brought out didn’t add up. When we then asked our waiter about it he explained to us in a very rude way that a 5€ service charge was added on top which we weren’t aware of. We didn’t make a fuss and proceeded to take out our wallets to pay but overheard our waiter mimicking and ridiculing us in a conversation with another waiter right next to our table. We chose to ignore them and just left the place as quickly as possible but when we were walking out the two waiters were still openly pointing fingers at us, loudly laughing at us and most likely calling us names in front of all other guests on the terrace (who looked mortified btw). I’ve never experienced this kind of bullying anywhere in my life, let alone by wait staff in a restaurant. Absolutely horrifying experience and I can only warn anyone to please please stay away from...

We relaxed here with a drink to cool down during one of our hotter days in Roma. Of course we were stopped in our tracks when the sign right outside said "Gin Bar". Plenty of outside tables were available, both off of the piazza and around the corner on the street. We chose the smaller table off of the street that was directly in front of the open door which was like sitting in front of a giant fan - fabulous! The service was great and they answered many of our questions. My G&T was pretty good, and in a huge balloon glass, which is always welcome. My husband had a Gin Fizz, but it seems that here they don't add egg-white to their fizzes, so it was really just a Tom Collins - still good, and he described it as a ginny lemonade. The most disappointing thing was that when looking at the menu, not only were the drinks very basic, but their selection of gin was completely uninspiring missing any Italian brands. They did have an entire page on the menu of G&Ts, including some "Special" combinations which we appreciated. But, still - Bombay, Tanqueray, Hendricks, Gin Mare, & Botanic - all brands I could get at home. We asked the server what Italian gins they had and he rattled off 3, I think, and so I was able to pick one of those. Good place if you're really thirsty and willing to pay a pretty penny for a basic G&T.

A nice cool place to get lunch. Between Vatican bridge and Navona plaza. Nice shops in the area, and lots of leather goods. I suspect it's hopping at this bistro during supper / late evening, but not busy at 11:30 AM. Plenty of large planters and large umbrellas are a relief in mid day sun. The staff was very friendly and seemed to cater to English speakers. The bathroom area is crazy, a must see. We had paninis and salad, all were great. Our daughter could only eat 1/2 of her sandwich. I had the salmon sandwich and it was good, but nothing special- however it was only €9, and very filling. *** Warning this place only would take cash!!!No cards accepted, which they did not say anything about up front. I would say 3.5 stars for food / "cash only" , but price and pleasantness brought it up to 4 stars. !
