This restaurant earns the rare distinction of not only being the worst Peruvian food I've ever eaten, but the worst meal I've had in Rome and possibly anywhere in the world. I ordered the tamales and lomo saltado. The tamale was dry with bland and cold meat inside. The lomo saltado was just gross. The meat tasted old and had no flavor. The rice was dry and possibly uncooked. The potatoes looked too depressing to even bother with. Everyone involved with the preparation of my food today should be ashamed for disgracing such a wonderful cuisine. When you prepare ethnic food in a capital city such as Rome, you're the gateway to another country. Your food reflects poorly on Peru. Go here if you want food with flavor and spice in Rome. Night 3 we were a bit pasta-ed out and wanted to find meat and veg. So glad we found Lima Chicken. A block directly north of Piazza Popolo with a few tables outside and A/C inside. Ceviche Pescado and Cusquena were exactly the spicy, refreshingly citrusy meal I needed and we shared Ají de Gallina, Papás a la Huancaina, Bistek con papas fritas y Flan.
