We ended up eating at Pastaciutta four separate times while in Rome. Each time was a good experience. Although this is a fast food pasta restaurant with very low prices, the food quality is comparable to far more expensive places. Depending on the time of day that you come, you can witness them making the actual raw pasta in the kitchen. That's right! The pasta is made in the kitchen and not in a factory! The method of getting food here is simple. You place your order at the register and pay, the cashier writes a number on your receipt, and you pick up your cooked pasta dish at the kitchen counter when you hear your number called. There's also a TV display where the numbers are shown, but the kitchen staff sometimes takes a while to update what's displayed on the monitor. If you're eating in, the pasta is served on an actual ceramic plate and you're provided a metal fork. Otherwise, you'll get your pasta in a takeout container. Seating is very limited inside, but each time we went we were lucky in that seating was available. Like some other reviews mention, the pasta here is cooked especially al dente. I'd read these reviews ahead of coming here. So each time I ordered, I asked the cashier that the pasta be "cooked more." These are the magic words to say if you don't like your pasta extra firm. One last thing. Pay attention to the specials board to the right of the cash register. The photo is of dishes from the regular menu. But, we did try a couple of specials as well, and they were...
Read moreServed me the wrong pasta first. After tasting some thing wierd, realised something was wrong. After that we went again and asked the Chef and he said “we served the wrong pasta( it had pork in it)”. I am not allowed to eat this animal (if you know what i mean). Since both dishes had tomato sauce, he got confused. Was so wrong. We spoke to the owner after that. He apologized. The least he could do was refund our money. Anyways the pasta, that we had originally ordered was also quite okay. Don’t know what’s the hype about this place. Was also quite loud. In short- plz double check after you receive your pasta. Especially if you are a...

We came here around 8pm. The store was still almost full but the lineup was short. We got our pasta within 5-7 minutes from ordering. We had carbonara, regatoni tartufo, and strozapreti al pesco. All three sauces were delicious yet my favourite one was still the carbonara, which was actually the best carbonara I had in Rome, tasting as well as or even better than the other three carbonara I had had at some traditional and fancier Italian restaurants, at half price.
I would highly recommend this place if you are a...
