After traveling these past two weeks in Italy, Luma Bistro was a nice way to enjoy our last lunch in Rome. It's walkable from Vatican City (20 min. away for these seniors), too. This is my seventh visit to Italy, and I'd return to Luma if I'm in Rome again.

You prefer an inside seat away from cigarette smoke, which wafts from the outside seating area through open windows (nice breeze) into the inside dining space, which was where we sat... Cigarette smoke killed the nice breezy atmosphere for about 20 minutes. Choose a seat away from cigarette smoke if you can. You prefer comfortable inside dining chairs You prefer separate men's and women's bathrooms that are regularly maintained

Read moreWe came for lunch as a family of four. Our children wanted a hamburger to split. In the menu (which was in English as well, so no mistakes about that), it was clearly stated that hamburger comes with a side dish of our choice, for a total prize of 16 euros. The kids wanted potatoes from the oven as a side dish. When the waiter came, he told us that potatoes would be charged separately if we want a bun with our burger. If ordered separately, potatoes are 6 euros. This was awkward because a hamburger is a piece of meat between two buns. So, we wanted him to clarify and he explained that buns are equal to a side dish, so we can't get a side dish if we want buns. Finally, we decided to order a burger with no buns, but with potatoes. In the end, we got a plate with the smallest burger ever (no joke), 50 to 80 grams max. For 16 euros per dish you can eat real good, delicious food in the more popular areas of Rome, like Trastevere or Monti. This place is off, so if you're lucky enough, you won't ever bump into it. But, if you come across this restaurant,...
Read moreI've written the same review on tripadvisor but loved it so much I wanted it on google too. My fiance and I visited after a recommendation and we can definitely say that it did not disappoint at all. The staff were lovely and, with soft jazz music in the background, we were made to feel relaxed almost instantly. The house white was splendid and the starters were fantastic. But, the real highlight came with the mains and desert. My fiance had the spaghetti cacio e pepe and she absolutely adored it and, the obviously freshly made, perfectly cooked pasta. I had the pasta with bacon and pear which let me tell you now, I insist you try!!! When I ordered the waitress said I would not regret my decision and she was right. This was hands down the best pasta dish I've ever had! Absolutely beautiful! We then ended with the patty filled with pistachio desert which just topped the evening off. We can't recommend this restaurant enough. We loved it and would...
