Absolutely terrible service.Sat down outside and literally had to ask several times over for them to clean away a filthy table full of uneaten or half finsihed food with fish and meat bones litterering the table which was ignored. In the end I cleared most of it away myself as it was disgusting on the eye.The head waitress who showed no interest in welcoming or serving customers couldn't even be bothered to show us how to order on the ipad because the menus they hand out are purely a point of reference and everything has to be ordered through the ipad yet the two don't seem to correlate. I asked her to explain how I could order something from the menu on the ipad and she simply tapped on the drinks menu in a very rude manner so we got up and walked out telling her that it was because she was so rude and the service so bad that we refused to part ways with a single euro there. Worst service we've ever experienced anywhere and wouldn't eat here if they paid us to!
We eventaully found a great little chinese restauarant nearby with some of the best and freindleist service...
Read moreWe had high expectations about this restaurant after reading the reviews and decided to go but it was absolutely disappointing. The food was really below average of common Sichuan food, not to mention authentic. The beef we ordered was very salty and chewy. We asked them to add more chillies to the dish as we preferred a spicier flavour but the cook added more chilly paste (this is rarely seen in Sichuan food as we usually use real chilly to make the natural spicy flavour rather chilly paste, a processed product) which made the food very salty. The restaurant claimed to be authentic but it’s not at all from a Chinese perspective. I wouldn’t recommend. They also charged 2 euro pp coperti (fee sitting at table). As a tourist in Rome, I’m not sure if it’s common for such charge here but I would expect that they can at least bring us some basics (tap water and napkins) for charging this fee but they were unwilling to do so. Such a...
Read moreWe previously dined at the sister restaurant in Rome's city center, which was nice, so we decided to try this one since we were in the Vatican yesterday. We ordered almost the same dishes because the kids really liked them. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our experience here.
First, some of the portions were only half the size compared to what we received at the Rome city center location. When we gave feedback to the staff, they told us to speak directly to the boss, and claimed that portion sizes depend entirely on the chef’s handful, which they seemed to find reasonable—apparently, it’s out of their control whether the chef has big hands or small hands.
Second, the rice tasted old and even had a rotten flavor. The tofu also tasted old and past its prime.
Overall, the food was just okay, but it fell far short of our expectations. If you're considering dining here, be aware of...
