WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I went to this restaurant for lunch. The place seemed quite nice and pretty crowded so my family and I figured it would be a good place to eat. That’d have been if we ever received any food at all! As we sat down it took us more than 20 minutes to get the attention of a waiter kind enough to let us order our food. As another 30 minutes went by without us receiving anything of what we had ordered (for a total of now 50 minutes) while literally every single client who had sat down at their tables after we did had already received their food, we started to politely complain about the waiting time. As we did so, a young waiter (who was really kind) went into the kitchen and got back telling us that they were putting the food in the plates for us to eat. As another 10 minutes went by without us receiving any food, we complained once more - this time to a different, older waiter, telling him that we had been sitting there for more than one hour without getting anything to eat. This man, with an outstandingly arrogant attitude, started getting back at us by saying that what we were saying was untrue and that we hadn’t been waiting for that long (while I kept track of time from the moment we sat down as that’s when I started texting a friend and therefore could see the time I’d sent the first message and, believe me, it had been more than one hour). As we rebutted that we had actually been waiting for more than one hour he just kept being more arrogant and impolite. But the most hilarious thing was that the table right next to us who had sat down a good 15 minutes after we did, as we were arguing with the waiter had already finished their meal!!! (As if our word wasn’t enough!) As he just kept insisting, instead of apologizing or just bringing us our food, we politely got up and walked away really hungry, angry, and frustrated. As I’ve already said: this has been the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Which I really think is a shame as the food (on others’ tables) looked decent and some of the younger waiters were quite nice to us. But if you happen to be the unlucky one who gets absolutely mistreated, well…you’ve...

READ the BAD reviews before you eat here. I have never had a worse experience at a restaurant in my life. After coming here regularly last year I brought some friends who were visiting me. The manager was extremely rude when we arrived, which should have been our cue to leave but we were tired and hungry. Our table waiter was completely disinterested - the service was slow, he didn’t bring my starter but didn’t tell me that it wasn’t coming or why, so when I was finally able to ask 20 minutes after it was served, another waiter explained it was ‘finished’ and offered a replacement (which never came). When the main course arrived after a very long wait, the vegan dish we carefully requested before sitting down, before ordering and and again when ordering came covered in cheese. There was no apology and another 25-minute wait for a replacement - while the other courses were sat on the table. I complained to the owner, who belittled me, spoke over me, and when I ultimately became upset, told me I was “** crazy” in front of his entire restaurant. There were two young waiters who were very kind and helpful and tried hard to make amends for the behaviour of their colleagues. I strongly recommend against this place if you want to enjoy your night. Rome is full of great places and this isn’t one. Response to reply: I was kind and polite to all your staff despite their treatment of us - and I ‘attacked’ nobody. I merely tried to stand up for myself in the face of your aggression, contempt and refusal to allow me to speak, which did distress me, especially because I was starving and embarrassed I had brought my friends to such an awful place. Your responses to all others reviewers’ complaints on here demonstrate your aggressive and defensive nature. And your inability to stick to the facts is shameful. My friends will write their own reviews to...

There was a little bit of wait getting in here as we arrived during lunch hours and during the weekend. Many people were sitting outside as it was a beautiful day outside. I thought there were only a few tables inside, but once we walked it there was a long hallway leading in to the dining room. It reminded me of a home or what you would think an Italian household would look like. There were some long tables for family style and small tables for smaller groups of people eating. The restaurant ambience was dimly lit, but enough to read the menu and see everything in the restaurant. It took a bit to get our order in, but they were quite busy. The waiting staff was very friendly and all helped as they could when available. They did not seem to care if you were Italian or foreigners. Our food took a bit longer than expected and the waiting staff did notice and put a rush out on our order. We ordered the foie gras, truffle pasta, and Iberico ham. Both my boyfriend and I shared each one of these dishes and had no complaints about any of it. The foie gras was perfectly done. Great flavor, light, and the gravy/sauce on it was pleasant. The sauce was not overly seasoned and paired well with the dish. The truffled pasta may have looked plain and boring, but wow! There were an abundance of flavors that came from the truffle and the aromas. They definitely were not shy with the truffle. The Iberico was great. I have had it before in Spain and it tasted like I was there. The fat was buttery and just melted in your mouth with every bite you took. What a pleasant experience I had. I would highly recommend eating here if you have the chance and are willing to wait around if you go during...

This restaurant was incredible all around and recommended by a friend and local guide Luca, air.tl/L3ms1vLm , he does driving tours on his mini cars. The margarita pizza, tagliatelle with truffles, all was very good, very busy restaurant, we went two nights in a row! Desserts are incredibly delicious ❤️ Apple crumble and tiramisu!

This is place is local!!! It's so hard to find these gems nowadays because everyone wants to eat at the center of the city in a modern restaurant. You know you are having a local meal when the place is simple, the tables have the red and white squares and the plates remind you of your childhood!!! This place was it! Found in one of the narrow lanes in Rome secluded and away from the buzzing streets and was open till bit later than the other places nearby which were more modern and more expensive. We visited mid September 2015 with family. Between the 5 of us we tried the amazing bucatini Amatriciana (originally served with this type of pasta), Spaghetti cacio e peppe (basically the sauce is made with butter, parmigiano and black pepper), pasta e faggioli soup (beans and pasta) and hubby had the meatballs with mashed potatoes!!! Last lunch of pasta and wine and boy did we love it!!! Will never forget the wonderful service and the amazing taste of this last meal in Rome. We finished strong with tiramisu and torta della nona which were superb. Highly recommend!
