Pescaria - Roma — Restaurant in Rome

Absolute joke of a restaurant for food quality and price. Came in looking for a delicious meal but ended up paying 25 euros for a small portion of spaghetti and crustacean balls that tasted utterly terrible.

The spaghetti was the pistachio flavored one but the flavor was so off putting due to the extreme amount of cream. The menu advertised shrimp with it but I only got the amount of one small shrimp scattered on top of the spaghetti which is absolutely nonsensical for 15 Euros.

The polpe (I believe the balls) had a bitter aftertaste and cost about 10 euros for 5 small balls! They tasted so bad and weren't even made of any special crustacean.

Overall, this place is a rip off not only because of the absurd prices but also due to the terrible quality of food. I ended up having to fill my stomach elsewhere and was absolutely dissatisfied with the service as well. No idea how it is...

Great place for street food. Perfect for fish brunch or lunch in the center of Rome.

Wonderful selection of seafood: as fried, as raw options.

Top recommendations: sandwiches (panini) with seafood or grilled fish.

We enjoyed:

fried mix of baby squads, shrimps, octopus, and king squads

sandwich with fried octopus (TOP), figs mustard, turnips, ricotta cheese and anchovies oil

sandwich with tuna tartare, buratta cheese, fresh tomatoes and pesto

sandwich with swordfish, grilled eggplant, caramelized onion, pesto of dried tomatoes, rucola, primo sale cheese and spicy sauce

all accompanied with Chardonnay.

Also we tried original Sicilian artisan beer with sea salt - quite unusual and extraordinary taste.

Notice!! I visited here 28th/June 12:00 (open hour) as a tourist. Even though I ordered 2 menu for 2 people, The server put 1~2 more menu as he wants with italian (not English) so I did not notice in the beginning. When I received the receipt I pointed out there is some error(what I ordered : 2 , what server printed out : 4) but the server answered I should pay all of money because the cook are just started. I complained about it and I was shocked when the server said to me : "Disgusting, stop talking". It was only one disgusting experience in Rome and I will not forget this worst moment.

To restaurant Owner : If I were you, I would fire this "disgusting manner of server". Please replay the CCTV and do action for your profit of...
