I have been going to this top-notch establishment since my high school days. The furniture looks the same and the food is as good as in the olden days. The pizza is served Roman-style, thin and well cooked, and it is excellent. The "supplí" (deep-fried rice balls) are sublime, among the best in town. There are a few other local dishes (sausages, pasta dishes, seasonal salads, battered pumpkin flowers, desserts), some of which off-menu, which have always been up to the standard. The ambiance is informal but one finds clean tablecloths and cloth napkins. The service is also informal as well as very efficient; orders are taken on small sheets of paper where customers tick their choices with a Bic pen ‒ sometimes fried antipasti arrive within 1 minute from the order. The place is well known within and outside the neighbourhood and consequently it is often busy; it is not possible to book but the manager Remo, a cheerful man with a faux-grumpy look, handles the queue with courtesy and efficiency. Prices went up recently but they are absolutely affordable, especially considering the value. Enthusiastically...

That was our first time eating pizza in Rome and unfortunately this wasn't the best experience. Personnel barely spoke any English, which I'm not holding against them, since this isn't their language. But that resulted in a couple of awkward situations: For start, we got a bottle of regular coke instead of coke zero. But they switched it when we asked, so no problems here. Then, they brought us a bottle of water that we didn't order. We immediately sent it back, but they still charged us for it. Finally, they brought us the wrong pizza, although while ordering I pointed to the one we've wanted in the menu. We didn't want to be rude, so we didn't send it back and decided to try that one instead. To which I'll say - I absolutely do not recommend pizza with broccoli As for the positives - people were nice, prices were okay, and calzone...

Cannot praise this place enough! Pizza is excellent ... in reality it was the best we had while in Rome, so much so that we decided to eat here three times. When we decided to try somewhere else, their pizza was our point of reference to which we could compare. Would highly recommend the pizza bianca (I had the Boscaoila, which was excellent) as we preferred it than the one with tomato sauce. We only ate pizza, but all other dishes seemed excellent as well. Oh and don't forget the Tiramisu ... a little bit of heaven. Very fair prices that will not...

Roman style pizza. Fast, incredibly fair price and extremely delicious. The masters themselves prepared this pizza and it shows that they have been doing this for a while. It is distinctly different m to a Napoli style pizza. This Roman pizza has a thin crust and is crispier and lighter. You don’t feel stuffed. It is a super local place but they didn’t mind us speaking English and helped us a lot. Friendly staff and great, familiar atmosphere.
