Last week I ate here with my friend. I ordered a Medium Rare peppercorn filet. No less then 50 minutes later a WELL DONE filet was sat down in front of me. The tall thin male waiter was adamant that the solid GREY interior of the meat was Medium Rare. He removed the plate from in front of me. 40 minutes later I asked where the replacement meat was. (My partner had already finished her meal and we had other things to see in Rome that night) He apologized and said "oh I thought they brought it out already" He then ran to the kitchen and said it was in the window. I told him I didn't want it and to take it off of the bill. I pulled out my visa card, he went and ran the card without removing the steak! When he brought back the signature confirmation I ripped it up, and left Euros for the amount owed MINUS the steak. We asked for the manager who never came and eventually just left the money on the table for services rendered and walked away. I just got home, and they fully billed my credit card as well! Double dipping! Thieves! The food we did eat was nothing special. They also never brought us bread. I feel they were very racist...

This was the first restaurant my family and I visited upon arriving in Rome, located in the charming neighborhood of Trastevere. We chose it for its convenient proximity to our storage facility near our Airbnb. To our delight, the restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, allowing us to be seated right away.

Our server, whose name I can't quite recall, was exceptionally kind and friendly. She demonstrated impressive knowledge of the menu and was incredibly patient with our large group.

Our meals arrived promptly and were served hot. With a party of about 12, it was impressive that everyone's dishes came out at the same time. We enjoyed a delightful spread that included cacio e pepe, lasagna, and various pizzas.

The restaurant was well-maintained, and the bathrooms were clean, which added to our positive experience. Overall, we had a wonderful meal and would consider this a great spot to...

The atmosphere is pretty good. The food not so great. At least what we had. It looks better than it tastes. I think tourists would like the food well enough if they don't really know authentic Italian food, but there are much better places to get Roman food. My wife had a salad that had way too much bitter rocket (eruca or arugula) and unripe tomato chunks. I myself love spaghetti alla carbonara. It is a specialty of the Lazio region. It was bad. The guanciale was cut in random sized pieces and was under cooked. I can't really describe the cheese and egg sauce, but it wasn't what I know as carbonara. I will never order it there again. And be careful about ordering the "house" wine. It's usually lower priced but good bulk wine. At this place the house wine is a bottle of generic commercial wine with the "house" label. ...

I've thought long and hard over this review. The food may have been better then I remember. The staff were friendly. What let it down was getting our main course, when we were not even half way through our starters. The more I think about it the more unacceptable this is. I'm not sure what caused this, wanting to push the customers through, or just poor communication between front of house and kitchen? Other reviews note the same issue. Anyway, whatever the reason, it's a shame that it doesn't seem to have been resolved. I hope the restaurant accepts the feedback in the spirit it is given and takes some simple steps to amend their practices.

Honestly, I was upset at the lack of flavor and the bit of confusion over the fish dish we ordered (just order off the menu and not any specials because you will end up paying double the price for food you can't finish). Ordered flounder off the menu for 2 but we thought that was a fish and artichoke dish that was large enough that it was a lot of food so 2 could eat it. Actually it was 50€. This was annoying though the staff were otherwise attentive. Prefer house wine but they only had bottled wine. The pizza was good in that it wasn't as runny as other places we've eaten. Bruschetta was ok but they sort of pushed these dishes on you.

The staff was friendly but I'm honesty surprised about the 5-star food reviews I'm reading here. I had a spaghetti carbonara and there was really nothing special about this at all. Good enough to fill my stomach, but i could probably prepare an even tastier one at home. Also: the bacon in the pasta carbonara looked like it was the cheapest bacon one could find in the supermarket, with much more fat than actual meat to it. Didn't make photos of the food but added a photo of the bill to show this review is real and I've actually been there.
