oup of 5 American tourists. We were taken advantage of and things were added to our check without our asking.
The price of four pasta dishes were upcharged by 1,50 euro. We asked for brushcetta and along with it he brought us out an extra sort of spinach stew/dip and crostini along with it that we didn't ask for. We didn't realize what it was, and thought it was part of the bruschetta order.
Man who helped us seemed to be the owner but we weren't able to get a name out of him.
Food was not too bad, but frankly the dishonest nature of the man would have me NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant. There are plenty of other great places to eat, be careful out there!
Though I can't be sure about it, I would like to believe they took advantage of us because we are Americans and the rest of the world seems to have a distaste for us.
For the sake of transparency, a bottle of olive oil was knocked off the table by accident, but it didn't break. I doubt he liked seeing that, but obviously that does not mean we deserved the service...
Read moreoutside there is a board with two fixed price menus. one of meat at 12 euros for lunch and 15 for dinner, and one fish for 20 euros for lunch and 25 for dinner. So we decided to enter. when we ordered the two fixed price menus, the waiter fat with glasses laughing and with the classic expression of who tries to cheat told us that the fixed price menus were finished, and brought us menu a la carte with very high prices. I do not like people who think they can cheat and despite being irritated by this waiter, and I decided to ignore him and ask another waiter. And magically when I asked the second waiter, he told me that it was certainly possible to order fixed price menus. morals of the story if you go in this restaurant absolutely avoid being served by the waiter with glasses, tall and a bit fat. I hope you will recognize him, because he will try to cheat.
as for the food I advise you to avoid the fish menu because (apart from the mussels) all the...
Read moreThis is seriously the worse experience I had for a spaghetti meal. I can easily find a better Restaurent anywhere else around this place for a way better treatment and cooking skills. I ordered spaghetti vongole and my wife ordered Fettuccine aglio oil. Both came out uncook. It was so hard to chew, taste of flour. It was only my first bite, disappointed. Called up waiter or chef, mentioned it was hard. Got told off that “this is their traditional ways of eating in Italy, not some noodles we ate in other country.” What?! I have gone to so many places and tasted different kind of spaghetti, think I never taste Italian food before? With rude attitude said he will cook it longer again in the pan. Me and my wife decided we were so disappoint, we decided to pay the money and get out of that place (no wonder there is NO one at the restaurent). Strongly disagree if anyone thinking of having anything there. Think twice, eat at...
