I was in the restaurant in July 2016 and I must say that I had a thing of much better restaurant than what I found this time. Indeed, the ambient is very nice but the courses were not up to what I remembered, a "potato noodle" accompanied by mushrooms and other vegetables were really tasteless and without salt, hot sauce did not help to give a little ' character to the dish. The second course was a white rice with different sprouts and lettuce accompanied by some small bowls with various side dishes such as the spicy kimchi, grilled eggplant, string beans with soy and spices, bean sprouts, spring onions and diced a root, probably celeriac, served in the same manner of kimchi. Despite these "contours" this second dish had no flavor too. A small demerit can be represented by the total lack of soups. From the menu I could not find anything and I tried to explain to the waiter that I did not want the noodles in broth in the Chinese manner or Japanese ramen type but maybe a simple soup containing vegetables and tofu at best, but I was told that in this restaurant are not provided for soups which previously clearly I remember that I ate because I ask soups wherever I go. To close the price. Two starters and a bottle of water 40 €. Price slightly above the average. Bathroom not accessible by disabled because on top of a...
Read moreIt is a OK restaurant but I would never come back to this one .. The most menu is 2 Euros more expensive than the other Korean restaurants nearby (e.g., Arirang). Plus, there is a table cover charge (2 euros I think). The food was honestly not good (I ordered bulgogi and the quality of the meat was terrible. Side dishes were mediocre). You need to wait 30-40 min during the dinner time! This place was packed with no obvious reason. The owner was arrogant and not friendly at all. One of the customers asked him for a side dish while she is waiting for the main one and he completely ignored her. We were hungry too but didn't ask anything since we knew that he's not going to do anything for us. My mother asked for a wet nap and of course he simply said that they don't have such a service. It is also kind of far away from the Termini station.
Read moreWe traveled to Italy for a week from our home country, and having a passion for Korean food, we set out to spend one evening having a non-typical dinner in Rome. After looking at reviews for several restaurants we landed here because this place supposedly has authentic flavors. It did not disappoint! We ordered the haemul pajeun, mandu and spicy pork belly. Of course no Korean meal is complete without the banchan of kimchis and other small palate cleansers/bite elevate-ers. I wish I had the space to try everything on the menu, but honestly I could have been a happy camper with just a half kilo of kimchi.
The Korean staff was hospitable as I've been accustomed to expect. Unfortunately, not all the staff was as eager to please. We had to ask twice to refill the banchan, and the second time, seeing all the banchan were empty, the guy asked which to refill instead of resetting all of them. It's a minor thing, but come on, you're charging 15+€ per dish and you're cheaping out on tiny plates of pickles? Educate that guy - you know who it is.
Wish I could give a five star review, but that incident just left a bitter taste...
