I organized my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary celebration at this restaurant and all 16 of us (including adults and children) were very happy with the food and especially service. I had contacted several restaurants ahead of time as we all came from other countries for the celebration and I have to say, this restaurant was the most responsive and helpful in their replies. I was able to reserve the restaurant but also they were kind enough to organize an Italian Mimosa cake for the celebration. Our main server Marco managed to handle the overwhelming responsibility of handling our large group with care and humor. He was truly the best server we had in Rome - professional, organized and with great attitude. The restaurant is not big but they organized our large table so that we are not disturbed by other patrons and that was appreciated. The food we tried was varied - we had both meat eaters and quite a few vegetarians in the group so we ordered quite a bit from the menu - Cacio e Pepe, pasta carbonara, the Chef’s mix Bruschetta and the Búfala and Prosciutto Antipasti, the Greek and Rucola salads, the Veal tail in tomato sauce and Grilled Beef steak and more. All in all - kids and adults were all happy with their choices. Food was fresh and well prepared. Prices were extremely reasonable for the portions and quality we got, a very good value for your money. Atmosphere was intimate and authentic. From our whole family - thank you for the memorable celebration at your restaurant, we had an...
Read moreThis place, I just loved being there. My friend and I had four nights in Rome, the reviews were very good and it was a short walk from our hotel near Roma Termini. I ate dinner there EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, refused to go anywhere else. From the moment we walked in they treated us like family, every member of the staff was warm, funny and attentive even though we spoke no Italian at all. The appetizers (fried zucchini flowers, seafood, bruschetta) were all fantastic, the homemade pastas were as good as I've ever had and I've been to Rome several times before (I had the carbonara, the strozzapreti alla gricia and the spaghetti with seafood, everyone a winner). Glasses of the house red and white, and the desserts-- You cannot leave without trying their tiramisu and panna cotta. More proof that these people care, one night my friend wasn't feeling well and she insisted I go alone. They asked about her and timed it so as soon as I was done eating, I had a dinner to bring back to her. Do yourself a favor and give this restaurant a try, it really...
Read moreThe servers were friendly and quite welcoming, their English wasn’t fabulous but decent none the less. The place was clean but the tables a bit on the small side, especially compared to the large plates. The antipasti we had was the courgette flower in batter, is was pretty good but there was a bit too much batter and too much cheese while the courgette was not very highlighted. I had the pasta with clams and portobello mushrooms which was absolutely amazing and the friend I was with had the pasta with clams and mullet, it was also very very good but we didn’t find any mullet in the dish only clams. Finally as a side we had the chicory which was also good but nothing extremely special. The wine selection was lacking in wines sold by the glass and were quite expensive. The dessert we had was the lemon sorbet which was probably out of everything we ordered the least special. For sorbet, especially for Roman standards was not worth the money. Overall we had a very nice dinner and I would definitely recommend this restaurant...
