I came knowing nothing about arrosticini and with zero Italian speaking ability but left incredibly pleased and sad that I was just a tourist and wouldn't be able to come back any time soon. I had a really great experience with the waitstaff, my server was attentive and happy to explain what arrosticini was and how it was typically eaten, then suggested to me me what to order and at the end of the meal seemed genuinely invested in if I'd enjoyed it or not. Another server actually dropped the food off for me and said that if I didn't like the way something was cooked that I should let her know. As I was leaving, another server walked past just to say bye to me! It was a busy night but the staff was on point the entire time. Because I'd loaded up on gelato just an hour before I wasn't really hungry so my server suggested that I should just try at least one of each of the skewers then and order a bruschette. This was the perfect amount for me but if you're coming for a full meal, I definitely recommend you ordering at least double than that. Each arrosticini was super juicy, tender and delicious and I really enjoyed the homemade and truffle ones (truffle is so cheap here and so pricey in the US!!!!). I ordered the truffled spinach and cheese bruschette and was happy with it but not necessarily amazed.... all in all, super enjoyable experience and props due to the incredible waitstaff. I know it's hard to turn down pizza and pasta for one meal, but if you're in Rome, take a break from carb loading and check this...
Read moreWe walked through the streets near our hotel and found this gem away from the tourist crowds. We wanted to experience the genuine Italian cuisine without eating more pasta and pizza cause we've already been to the touristic sights and ate at those typical restaurants - and we were not disappointed. We just arrived in time before the restaurant got packed with locals and ordered different Bruschetta, crisps, those cute, tiny meat skewers and the tiramisu which came from heaven. The Buschetta is an absolute 10/10. Each piece was made with love and tasted so fresh. We ordered the meat skewers from lamb and angus cause we were afraid that the lamb ones would taste too meaty for us. However, turned out that the lamb skewers were not for nothing called their specialiaty. They were sooo juicy and delicious that we almost forgot to eat the angus ones - another 10/10. Our final choice was the Tiramisu and it was the best Tiramisu I ever had cause it had cinnamon in it which made it taste so much better than the original one. You have to try it!!! The waiters were super kind and quick and the prices were more than fair! All in all, this was a great dinner and we hope to come back next time we're...
Read moreGood place for eating average Arrosticini, even though the cooking is not the exact one, bruschette are not so interesting and overall I would say that the quality/price ratio is way too low, in the end we only ate arrosticini and bread with a very thin layer of various spreadable creams of different parts of the pig, bread with vegetables and nothing more. For being full we had to arrive at 35 euros per person, which if i consider what i ate and compare to any other kind of restaurant or other arrosticini places is too much (also the home wine was overpriced, a low quality wine cannot cost 9 euros per liter).
A positive note was the service, we had a nice waitress Irene with a positive energy, even though the rest of people seemed a bit confused (but probably the problem lies in who organized the service).
Overall it is a mildly nice place for tasting arrosticini, probably they should make a special offer for taking bunches of arrosticini, because someone maybe it is happy with few, but if you want more the dinner become to be inappropriately expensive for eating most typical abruzzese meat...
