Awesome little place, the decoration is really pleasant to the eye and the logo is terrific. The music ranged from jazz to straight up metal, creating a unique and cool atmosphere. The beers they sell are well above the average for Italy in my experience. The prices are what you would expect from a quality place like this, a tiny bit -really just a tiny bit- above the average, in my shallow experience with the city at least. However it has really worth every cent. We have only spent 3 days in Rome. Found it on the first day and sadly we had only time for one mug then, but we have returned the next day and had a really good time again. Sadly we did not have time on the third day because the place opened at around 17:30 if I remember correctly and our plane took off at 19:00, leaving us no chance for the magical third round. The staff spoke English well and they were really nice and helpful. So nice in fact that they've given me a glass with the logo of one of the breweries they sell the beer of (Birrificio Otus) as a present the second day. I will never forget this gift because Odysseus is my favorite Greek hero and as we know he is favored by Pallas Athene whose holy animal is the owl. The present could not have been more unique, personal and heart-warming for me. Leave them lots of tips. I will make sure to visit this place again if and when I return to Rome. Solid five star, recommended for lovers of beer and rock or similar...
Read moreWe stayed here for an evening to watch the Euros and have some drinks and we had a great time. There was good rock and blues music on before the football which created a cool atmosphere. The people working were super friendly and chilled and they were always happy to serve and ask if we needed anything. When we sat inside to watch the game, the gentleman behind the bar angled the TV so we had a better view which was lovely! The prices were really good for pints and we got some nacho chips with cheese sauce which really hit the spot. Will...
Read moreDesperate for a delicious cocktail, we found this cool bar after a full day of walking around the Vatican City. The owner is very friendly and accommodating but with an unpushy laidback cool and honesty that is a refreshing tonic to the garish touts outside the Vatican walls. The real feather in Saxophone Clubâs cap is that it is appreciated and enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. Come here if: You like good cocktails, a friendly bar, well chosen craft beers and a little respite from the big city...
