I have never left an official review on anything, but this restaurant changed that. it’s THAT good. from the moment i walked in, i knew it would be good. we were greeted at the door, welcomed into the restaurant, and seated. our waiter was kind, talkative, and genuinely such a sweet person, as were the other waiters we had. the restaurant itself is a bit older, but that added to the ambiance of it. the art on the walls, the brick accents, the window into the kitchen; everything made the experience of being here better. Somehow just as good as the ambiance, and the service, is the food. i had pizza, and i can genuinely say i have never eaten anything else that compares, aside from the dessert (i’ll get to that), and my girlfriends cooking. the meat was cooked to perfection and juicy, the cheese was perfectly melted, the sauce was fresh and wonderful. and i will never recover. but the cream of the crop, the best of the best, was the cheesecake. now, i’ve had my fair share of cheesecake before. it’s never been my favourite dessert, i found it kind of dry, and bland without some sort of fruit. but this cheesecake was different. the cheesy part was moist, creamy, and the texture was that of a cloud. the jam was the perfect compliment, giving it highlights and light notes of strawberry. and the cracker crumbs gave it a base, and it so much depth. i am wholeheartedly floating with joy right now as i type this out in my seat at the restaurant, waiting for the courteous staff to bring the bill. eat here, at least once, before you die. i beg of you. i love you taverna boccaccio.

Read moreI asked what was the restaurant's special so they recommended the ravioli w truffle and the steak with cherry tomato and cheese. Based on the reviews (i did ny research, these were highly recommended, and the cheesecake, which i ordered too).
The cheesecake was indeed a delight. I love it. There was the option of chocolate, berries and (i think i heard) pistachios (not sure if i heard wrong) to go with the cheesecake. The balance between the cheesecake and the biscuit crumbs were perfect. The cake was Soft. not dry at all. Almost creamy even. It was perfect. Worth coming back for more.
Im a steak lover and the steak here, was a good steak. Nothing to shout about, it wasnt especially the best. But It was good, and will definitely not disappoint. Simple, seasoned lightly. Basic.
The ravioli with truffle was great! I wasnt super impressed at first bite but it grew on me. The texture was perfect. Soft. And the truffle wasnt too overpowering nor too weak. Very good balance.
Service was good considering they were full and looked like they only had 2 or 3 staff handling the entire restaurant. They were busy but still made time to answer queries (with a smile) and were attentive.
Pricing was fair. Not too expensive, not exactly cheap...
