False advertisement!!! All the room pictures on all of the booking websites are all over-advertised and it does not look like the pictures at all. The receptionists are just okay and can't feel any warm welcoming to the guest. The room is very much outdated and has no room for the toilet because there is a bidet right in front of the toilet and it literally touches when you sit. The only good thing is breakfast and their employees are generally kind at breakfast and the view is great. If you want to stay at the modernized hotel, please don't book here. Google review is too much overrated and ensure that you compare to the other booking websites' reviews and scores (Some has like 5/10 stars). We booked a superior double room with pictures I was excited about before arrival. When we were given a hotel room, we went into the room and found that the room was very limited space not enough to put two luggage in there. On top of that, the bathroom was very small and couldn’t even sit on the toilet because there is a bidet that is right across the toilet that touches our knees when seated. So we had to go the public bathroom downstairs to use bathroom. And the shower was horribly situated because the bathtub was very dirty and the hot water took 5 minutes to come out. No heater was available and there was cigarette smell coming from the hallway and it seems that someone in the other room or employees at the office were smoking. The toilet was not working so I went to inform a receptionist of the issue and he did not even want to come to the room and check it in person at all. And no one during the rest of our stays asked us about the issue whether it’s resolved or not. The room was very dark and no good lights enough to see clearly. The room was not able to block very loud noise from the hallway so we couldn’t sleep well either. Again, the hotel room pictures are completely different from the room in person. We had the worst room and experience with this. The room...

PRO

The breakfast is (contrary to what some other reviews claim) quite good, even though it's the same every day. Scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages as hot dishes. Three types of meat and four types of cheese. Two quiches (one with ham, one vegetarian). Different types of sweet pies and cake. Gluten free options available. Only the cornetti were disappointing. The 180° view from the sixth floor during breakfast is, of course, stunning. A great way to start the day!

We had a 'superior' room which was relatively spacious and comfortable. Beds were comfortable and had both soft and firm pillows. The mattress was quite firm, which we enjoyed.

Location of the hotel is really good, in a very enjoyable neighbourhood with lots of shops, bars and restaurants, but not too crowded. A ten-minute walk from the Ottaviano subway station, and five minutes from the Vatican.

CON

Even though the hotel has air-conditioning, it was not switched on. When we went to complain about this, the staff was quite dismissive - they claimed that air-conditioning could not be turned on in April as a general rule (or even official regulation, we could not verify whether this claim is true or not). It was 25°C so the room got quite warm. At night, the temperature was manageable when keeping the windows open, but this led to some nuisance from mosquitos and outside noise (nearby works from 7am, music from the rooftop terrace).

The room seemed recently renovated, but some things were not well-maintained. Toilet button was cracked, sink plug was missing, tap was heavily scratched, and due to the placement of the shower the bathroom floor got really wet. Unfortunately, there were no coffee or tea facilities in the room (come on guys, this is an easy fix to improve your guests' stay!).

Drinks on the rooftop terrace are shamelessly expensive (we paid €31 for two drinks). We didn't visit the restaurant because it has really limited...

At first, let me say that i have asthmatic bronchitis and allergies to dust and mites. It is my first night here and i had nightmares, maybe it was from the clogged air and smell. I don’t know from which hotel the presentation pictures of the rooms are but if I can upload the pictures later on in this review, the pictures I made from the hotel and the room my wife and i stay, you will understand!

So let’s start… Everything about the hotel is very very very old and worn out! The ceiling has watermarks, the walls are swollen and covered by this very old and dusty upholstered wallpaper which is very very unhealthy and really hard to clean (if they would, but they don’t ) especially now. The walls have watermarks on it, the room phone is sticky and alot of buttons are missing, the carpet is old and smelly, even the fire detection sensor is just hanging on a wire down the ceiling. Doors are scratched, furniture is scratched and the dust is insane. Even now as i type on my phone i can see dust building up on my screen! Here is a funny one! As i opened up the closet door, i felt like riding through the galaxy with a super fast spaceship because all the dust flakes came towards me just like stars.

My view of the room is to a inner common yard (if I may call it that way) that me and my wife share with other locals that have their balcony where they stretch clothes to dry no more than 2 meters across from our window. They can see everything that happens inside our room if we want a little natural light to come inside. Can’t really describe how this is unless google lets me upload pictures for you in the next steps of this review.

The staff is not at all nice and friendly.

The breakfast was the only good thing so far!

Bottom line, this was about my worst hotel experience.

I Don’t...

Good Hotel, good choice if you want location near to Saint Peters Basilica, Rome, if you need parking lot, please reserve when you are booking room, and do not parking at public space arround hotel, it dangerous for tourist car.
