Could not have been more accomodating. We found this place by accident - small, family-run eatery serving local Siena delicacies. Off the main pathway (not packed with tourists AT ALL) on a quiet street. The owner is so kind and friendly (like gentle giant). Deep-fried pecorino in honey was a revaltion for all 6 of us. Excellent selection of dried meats, local wine, and beers. 5 different mains were ordered from the menu, and 6 empty plates were returned! The owner even went to the local bar to get a specialist drink that one of our party wanted that they have not had on the menu. They had the best tiramusu on our trip, panna cotta, and traditional Siennan pastries. HIGHLY recommend if you're in Siena. Thinking about cancelling our reservation for tomorrow to come...
Read moreThis place is not very friendly. I’d say they’re rather rude! Someone at our hotel recommended it among other places. We arrived a few minutes after 9PM and the kitchen was supposed to be open till 10PM. The big guy at the door brushed us off and without even trying to accommodate us. He told us to talk to the chef who was equally rude and in an arrogant manner told us that they’re already closed. We’re going to stay in Siena for a bi and are coming here every once in a while. I don’t think we’ll ever give them our business after that. We found a wonderful prosciutteria a few doors down on Via Pantaneto 89 that we highly recommend. We had an amazing dinner there. Their kitchen was closing at 10PM as well but they did everything to...
Read moreWe had a great meal and cannot recommend it enough. Carlo was great and made excellent recommendations for wine. We had the Pici with tomato and the raviole with truffle and both were amazing. We then had the Ossobuco and the meat melted in your mouth and the flavor was spectacular. They were closing and we thought we didn’t have time to have desert since we were the only ones left but Carlo said that there was always time for dessert. We had the panna cota, tiramisu, and crème brûlée and honestly all three were the best I’ve ever had. I wish I lived in Siena so I can come...
