A huge selection of goods but a completely pointless sales method: first you have to pay at the cashier, so it is necessary to keep running to the display windows, if you want to specify what you want, then you wait to see if you get what you paid for. In combination with the raids of groups of senior women, a perfect mess indeed. Never more! Btw: the coffee in the museum opposite the dome was much better and the service incomparably friendlier...

I think Nannini serve the best coffee in Siena! I visited twice, the first time for take away coffee and filled croissants. The croissants were just ok, and the service is confusing and not explained which means the native speakers are given preference. I also visited to sit down for breakfast where we had sausage and cheese on toast, and an omelette with ham and cheese. The hot food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I would recommend it!

Absolutely love the whole vibe of this place from the coffee bar in the front to the huge selection of pastries. Without a doubt, you must get the ricciarelli cookies. Siena is also famous for their ancient fruit cake called panpepato. We didn’t taste it but bought one wrapped for a gift. I’m sure it will be delicious based on the three desserts we did try. But extra of everything or you will regret it.

Visiting Siena for one month with my partner and we took a little break for a coffee and pastry. Our order was mixed up, which is fine, but how it was dealt with left us feeling awful. The server who took our order refused to acknowledge any mistake. After explaining what I ordered (in Italian btw) I was told that I should be paying 1 euro more. Following this the two servers were talking loudly and the one who took our order repeatedly said "cazzo" whilst looking over at us. You don't have to be studying or fluent to understand that. We then checked the prices on the board and realised we were actually owed one euro. My partner went up and asked (in Italian, she is studying the language so has a good grasp) about the mistake. We had the receipt and explained what we ordered and what we were given. The woman on the cash (someone new now) rudely handed over a euro without any acknowledgement or explanation, as though we had gone up cap in hand.

I will not set foot in here again. Awful to be a guest in someone's country and to be treated so badly. I understand in service there are bad days, I worked in coffee for over ten years. I also understand that tourists can be annoying but this level of rudeness and disrespect goes beyond anything I've ever...

We saw this place the day before we came to eat and were interested since it looks pretty good. However the next morning we were very disappointed. Eat standing up, if you eat seated you are charged 300% more. A coffee standing is €1.20 while sitting it’s €3.60 (inhumane). The staff were terribly rude. When we first came in we (a family of 5) wanted to sit down and I wanted pancakes but my sister wanted a ciambella and had already paid on the other side. They would not let us sit together so we just ended up all going to the self service side. There, we ordered and the cashier was extremely rude. The dialogue went something like this. my mom asks “Is ribis like frutti di bosco?” “(looking elsewhere) ehhhhhh… kind of” ok. then i ask “can i have a bomba with chocolate, make sure it’s chocolate” “ok”. We get our food and i take one bite and there’s cream inside. I tell her that there’s cream and to change it and condescendingly she said she will change it and not to “cry”. lol…. some bs…. btw this whole conversation happened in italian since im from Rome. spoiled our...

Stopped here for a quick bite and cappuccino on a day trip to Siena. First of all, the ordering system is quite confusing - rather than order the pastries you like at the pastry counter and then paying, they have you do this in reverse. It’s too crowded to move back and forth between display and cashier, so we wrote down the names of the pastries we wished to order, read them and showed our list to the cashier.

Then you go back to the person manning the pastry counter who in no particular order will help you. I got the sense they aren’t thrilled about serving tourists and was skipped over quite a few times for Italian speaking customers. At this point I was told I couldn’t get one of the pastries I ordered because I had paid for the cheaper one. I did not want to revisit the cashier so just took that.

After all that, we were disappointed with the food. One of them was stale. The bombolone...
